The Truth About The Southern Charm Feud Between Kathryn Dennis And Ashley Jacobs
When Ashley Jacobs joined the cast of "Southern Charm" for Season 5 in 2018 as the girlfriend of Thomas Ravenel, her arrival understandably didn't come as good news to Ravenel's ex-girlfriend, Kathryn Dennis. After all, just one season prior, Ravenel and Dennis appeared to be on the verge of a reunion.
Both Jacobs and Dennis have since moved on with new partners — Jacobs with husband Mike Appel, who she is currently expecting her first child with (via People), and Dennis with boyfriend Chleb Ravenell, who will soon be seen alongside her on Season 8 of "Southern Charm" (via Reality Tea). However, things between the ladies became especially heated toward the end of Season 5 when Jacobs took aim at Dennis' parenting, slamming her as an "egg donor" to the two children she shares with Ravenel, 7-year-old Kensington and 5-year-old St. Julien (via People).
"Just because you push something out of your vagina, it doesn't mean you're a mother. I'm sorry," Jacobs continued on an "After Show," via Reality Tea. "Mothering is loving, caring, and protecting these children. Kathryn is all talk. I want to see her actually do what she's saying she's going to do." Although Jacobs went on to admit that she did cross the line at times, she also defended her cruel statements against Dennis by saying she was "provoked."

Continuing on, Ashley Jacobs said that she shouldn't have been as reactive as she was with Kathryn Dennis during Season 5 of "Southern Charm."
"I said some things again that were quick and reactive that I shouldn't have said. I should have had more class to bite my tongue, but again I was just in that moment. I was provoked, so I was little disappointed," Jacobs admitted, via Reality Tea.
Looking back at her confrontation with Jacobs, Dennis — who reportedly lost custody of her children earlier this year — said their showdown was "not what I was expecting."
"She called me an egg donor and told me I was a baby mama and to go away," Dennis recalled. "I've taken enough of this s***. You clearly think you can walk all over me ... Know your place and know mine. I'm not going anywhere and I'm not because I'm the mother of our children." Following Season 5, Jacobs appeared briefly on Season 6 before moving back to her hometown in Santa Barbara, California.
