Chrissy Teigen's Latest Business Loss May Be The Most Surprising Yet

It's been a very tough few months for Chrissy Teigen. As fans know, the cookbook author's old tweets bullying Courtney Stodden recently resurfaced, creating a world of hurt for the star. Designer Michael Costello has also accused Teigen of bullying him, but it's worth noting she has denied his account.

In the wake of the controversy surrounding the 35-year-old's past actions, she has lost several business deals. Retailers like Macy's and Target stopped carrying her cookware line. Then, VRBO came under fire for featuring Teigen in its new ad. And it was also reported that the mom of two had stepped away from participating in a new Netflix show called "Never Have I Ever."

Even though Teigen has apologized more than once for her past behavior, the fallout continues, with Today reporting that the star has suffered yet another business loss — and it might be the most significant yet, given that the newest company she is stepping away from was one she co-founded.

Fans have mixed reactions to Chrissy Teigen stepping away from her business

As fans will recall, Teigen launched a cleaning and self-care line of products with Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner three months ago (via People). According to the brand's website, the line includes hand soaps, laundry products, and surface cleaners.

Interestingly, at this time, only a photo of Jenner remains on the site, with Safely announcing via Instagram, "Chrissy will be stepping away from Safely to take much needed time to focus on herself and be with her family."

The statement went on to say, "We fully support her decision and are so thankful for her contributions. The brand will continue to move forward and focus on our important mission of bringing high quality, hard-working cleaning products to all American households."

Followers quickly reacted, and predictably, some refuted the brand's statement, with one person commenting, "You mean you fired her." But the reaction to the decision — however it was arrived upon — was divided, with one commenter noting, "Omg noooooo wtf i got it because of her" while another said, "You made the right choice letting her go."
