Meet Lesly Brown, Pat Sajak's Wife
"Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak has been tossing out clues to some of the most puzzling, well, puzzles since 1981 (via US Magazine). The host of the show has become a household name as fans tune in to ABC on weeknights to see if they can solve crosswords in several categories. But if his wife's name, Lesly Brown, appeared in the people category, would fans be able to solve that puzzle?
Although Sajak may feel like a lifelong friend to many "Wheel of Fortune" viewers, he is not forthcoming with some aspects of his personal life. Which is why it was surprising to learn not only that Sajak was engaged but then quietly second wife, Lesly Brown, in an intimate and small ceremony in Annapolis, Maryland in 1988, per AP News.
So who is the woman behind the scenes? Let's find out more about the game show host's wife Lesly Brown.
Lesly Brown was a model
Before Lesly Brown locked eyes on Pat Sajak at a restaurant opening in Irvine, California in 1988, she was pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, particularly modeling (via Parade). The former Miss Georgetown graduated with a degree in television production from the University of Maryland, according to the outlet. But it was her appearance in Playboy magazine's 1988 feature "Women of Washington" that is most notable, per AP News.
By 1989, Brown and Sajak friend zoned each other as they dated others and maintained a long-distance friendship. It was Brown's appearance on "The Dating Game" that made Sajak realize she was more than just a friend — she was his future wife (via People). Luckily, Brown felt the same way.
After saying "I do" to Sajak in 1989, the model appears to have taken a break from a career in front of the camera. She told People that while she once planned to attend law school, she intends to stay home and take care of her children. But the mother to Maggie Marie Sajak and Patrick Michael James Sajak has made some guest appearances on "Wheel of Fortune," per her IMDb page, where she served as a guest hostess.
