Why Fans Think Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Are Already Married
Ever since Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton got engaged in 2020, fans have been anxiously awaiting any details about their wedding plans. The couple started dating while on "The Voice" in 2015, leaning on one another as they went through the demise of their respective marriages. "When you're where [Gwen] and I were, and you just feel so betrayed and on bottom, this bond that we formed when we found out what each other were going through, it's still there," Shelton told People.
Through the years, Stefani and Shelton have recorded several duets, including the no. 1 Billboard country song "Nobody But You" and the holiday tune "You Make It Feel Like Christmas." And Shelton has become a loving stepfather to Stefani's three sons: Kingston James McGregor, 14, Zuma Nesta Rock, 12, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, 7. In fact, the country music superstar asked the boys for permission to marry their mom before he proposed to Stefani (per People).
Yet while the couple has been fully committed to one another, they weren't in a rush to walk down the aisle. "I think there was a lot to consider when you have so many people involved. Children, and their hearts, and everybody in my family [and] his family, we all went through a lot together," Stefani said on "Today" (via People).
Gwen Stefani was spotted wearing a wedding band
After getting engaged last year, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton revealed that they had plans to wed this summer. Earlier this month, close friends and family hosted an intimate bridal shower for Stefani at a restaurant (per E! News). The 51-year-old posted photos of the special event on Instagram with the caption, "SHE'S GETTING MARRIIIEEEED." But now some fans are speculating that the happy couple quietly tied the knot after Stefani was recently spotted wearing a huge diamond wedding band with her engagement ring.
According to Page Six, Stefani and Shelton were photographed in Santa Monica, California with her youngest son, Apollo. The two had just returned from a trip to Shelton's Oklahoma ranch, where a source revealed that a chapel was built on the grounds to host their wedding ceremony. All of this has led fans to believe that Shelton and Stefani are already man and wife.
The pair have yet to confirm or deny the rumors, but if they aren't hitched yet they will be soon. Shelton told Radio.com (via Audacy) earlier this year that 2021 is the year they'll tie the knot. "I don't see any reason why sometime this year we can't get married," he said. "We just want to be sure that we are able to have the people there that we love and that they can be safe while they're there."
