Felicity Blunt: What Fans Should Know About Emily Blunt's Sister And Stanley Tucci's Wife
"The Devil Wears Prada" isn't the only major connection Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt share. The two actors are actually in-laws too. It was at Emily's 2010 wedding to "The Office" star John Krasinski where Tucci met her older sister, Felicity Blunt, according to Oprah Daily. They really hit it off and ended up marrying two years later, in 2012. However, "The Hunger Games" actor admitted on the "WTF with Marc Maron" podcast that he and his late wife, Kate Tucci, had originally crossed paths with Felicity years prior.
According to People, Stanley noted that Emily had brought her sister to "The Devil Wears Prada" premiere, and Felicity "and Kate talked at the premiere that night." Stanley said he even has "a photo of them together, which is so odd." The actor and his first wife married in 1995, but in 2009, Kate passed away due to breast cancer, according to Hello! magazine.
While Stanley Tucci has said that "it's still hard" dealing with the loss and that he felt "guilty" after proposing to Felicity, the actor knows that his first wife wouldn't want him to "wallow in that grief." And he has truly found happiness with Felicity.
Felicity Blunt is super supportive of both her husband and her sister
Unlike her really successful sibling and husband, Felicity Blunt is not an actor. She is actually a London-based literary agent at Curtis Brown, per Marie Claire. Blunt represents authors like Rosamund Lupton, Renee Knight, and Laura Marshall (via The Sun), and regularly promotes her clients on Twitter. While she may be a more reserved person, with a private Instagram account, Blunt has been spotted on a lot of red carpets supporting both her sister and her husband.
She also tweeted about the 15th anniversary of "The Devil Wears Prada," sharing a blooper reel and confirming that the movie is "still funny." You can add "mother" to her ever-growing resume as well. Blunt and Stanley Tucci share five children. Three of the five are from his first marriage — twins Isabel and Nicolo, and daughter Camilla (via Closer Weekly). And, in 2015, the couple welcomed their first child together, Marco, followed by daughter Emilia Giovanna in 2018 (via USA Today).
While Blunt's Instagram may be private, Tucci frequently posts on his own account, including promoting his memoir, "Taste: My Life Through Food," which is about his "life in and out of the kitchen" (via Simon & Schuster). The actor and his wife actually released a cookbook of their own in 2020 entitled "The Tucci Table: Cooking With Family and Friends," which offers fans a little glimpse into the home life of the adorable couple.
Stanley Tucci praised Felicity Blunt for always being by his side
Stanley Tucci is well known for being a foodie, so it was especially devastating to learn that the esteemed actor had been treated for oral cancer at one stage. Tucci was diagnosed in 2017, but he didn't announce it publicly until a September 2021 interview with Vera magazine, per NBC News. The "Searching for Italy" star confirmed he'd successfully undergone several grueling treatments for the disease, including "high-dose" radiation and chemotherapy.
Now cancer-free, the beloved star admitted in his memoir, "Taste: My Life Through Food," that enduring oral cancer made him realize that the real love of his life is actually food rather than acting (via The New Yorker). And, now that Tucci can finally eat properly again, he's got a ravenous, borderline insatiable hunger. However, the proud food connoisseur also has a newfound respect for his long-time partner Felicity Blunt, who stuck by him throughout the hellish ordeal.
As Tucci gushed to People, "Felicity's undying attention, affection, and encouragement got me through it." The actor also confirmed, as if there was any doubt in our minds, that his beloved wife is a major foodie too, admitting, "I couldn't be with someone who didn't care about food. I just wouldn't be attracted to them."
Felicity Blunt filmed the Negroni tutorial that went viral
In April 2020, Stanley Tucci unwittingly became the object of the Internet's affection after posting a seductive video on Instagram of him mixing a Negroni cocktail. As Decider reported at the time, the clip went viral after it was shared on Twitter, where fans openly drooled over the actor despite the fact he was mixing a drink for his wife, Felicity Blunt.
"What are you going to make me?" she coyly enquires at the beginning of the video, to which Tucci responds: "A Negroni. Would you like one?" In the end, though, the "Devil Wears Prada" star playfully refuses to give it up, which drove fans even crazier. When Tucci does try to hand the drink over, he quickly realizes Blunt won't be able to hold it and continue filming. During a chat with People, Tucci shared that it was actually his wife's idea to post the video in the first place.
"I did that [first Negroni demo] as an in-house thing for our agency — where my wife works [as a literary agent], and where I am represented here in London," he explained. "And she said, 'Would you do a little cocktail thing, just for the Curtis-Brown people? It would be fun, cheer people up.' So I did. And then she said, 'Well, maybe put it on your Instagram.' And then the world changed." The actor was incredibly "flattered" by the response, though he acknowledged some people were downright "filthy."
