Sarah Jessica Parker Shares New Teaser For Upcoming Sex And The City Reboot
No, you're so excited about the upcoming "Sex and the City" reboot you can barely sleep. Okay, we are all waiting with breath that is bated for "And Just Like That," kind of like how the world felt right before Aleksandr Petrovsky's light installation was unveiled in Paris. And it's like the producers behind the upcoming HBO Max series understand our level of titillation, since casting info has been trickling out in bits and spurts since the revival was announced in January (via Us Weekly).
First, we learned Kim Cattrall would not be reprising her role as Samantha Jones. Then, it was revealed that Sara Ramírez was joining the ensemble of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon. Soon, Chris Noth confirmed he would come back as Mr. Big, and it was also announced that John Corbett, who plays Aidan Shaw, and David Eigenberg, A.K.A. Steve Brady, would be back for "And Just Like That."
Now, Parker is teasing the start of production for the show with a new Instagram post that practically has fans coming out of their Manolos (via E! Online).
Sarah Jessica Parker takes fans back to where it all began
Fans will immediately recognize the image Parker shared to her Instagram as excitement builds around "And Just Like That."
"Pure coincidence AND JUST LIKE THAT, we find ourselves on this street called Perry the night before it all begins again," the actress shared as a caption to a photo of the front door of Carrie Bradshaw's iconic New York City apartment — yes, the one she sold in the "Sex and the City" movie, then bought again after Big left her at the altar, then kept at the end of the second movie so some of her friends could get a break from their lives once in a while.
Parker then included a note to Michael Patrick King, the executive producer of "Sex and the City," writing, "MPK, here we go. And I'm thrilled and terrified. X, SJ." Adorably, Willie Garson, who plays Stanford Blatch, and who will be returning for the reboot according to Parade, commented, "Let's go!"
Meanwhile, according to Harper's Bazaar, no air date for the series has been announced as of yet. But whenever it is on, we will be tuning in!
