Who Is Jimmie Allen's Wife, Alexis Gale?
The relationship between rising country star Jimmie Allen and his forever partner Alexis Gale is nothing short of a fairytale. According to Country Living, the pair initially met in 2019 through one of Allen's family members. Upon meeting, they immediately felt like they'd known each other for far longer, in part due to the fact that they both hail from Milton, Delaware.
"With Alexis being from my hometown, it is like always having a piece of home with me. We had an immediate connection," Allen told People. Meeting the stunning nurse served as the moment his romantic lyrics became a reality (via Wide Open Country). "Her smile melts me, her pure heart challenges me to love better, the way she motivates and supports me is unlike anything I've ever seen, the way she loves me and my son is unlike anything I've ever experienced," he told People. "It feels incredible to find the type of love I've been writing songs about all these years!"
After just a few months of dating, Allen solidified his fairytale love story by getting down on one knee in front of the Magic Kingdom castle at Disney World. Gale took to Instagram to celebrate the happy news along with her gorgeous engagement ring: "Does this really mean I get to grow old with you?!" she wrote. "Yesterday, I said yes to forever. I am beyond words & lucky to be able to call this incredible man my fiancé." Since then, their love has continued to grow — there are even two babies (and another ring!) to show for it.
Alexis Gale and Jimmie Allen welcomed their first child together in 2020
On March 1, 2020, Alexis Gale gave birth to her and Allen's daughter, who they named Noami Bettie Allen. That day proved especially thrilling for Allen, as he also found out his song "Make Me Want To" hit number one on the country music charts, per Country Living. In true fashion, the couple headed to Disney to celebrate their daughter's first birthday (via Instagram). Gale also helps raise Allen's 7-year-old son, Aadyn, from a previous relationship (via Sounds Like Nashville).
Fast forward to now, and Allen is already having quite the year. He not only snagged the New Male Artist of the year award at the 2021 ACM Awards (being the first Black artist ever to do so) but is also about to jet off on tour with the country legend Brad Paisley (via Wide Open Country). However, 2021 also happened to be the year he and Gale finally made their way down the aisle.
According to Sounds Like Nashville, the late-May wedding took place at the scenic Lake House Inn in Pennsylvania and was attended by fellow country stars Darius Rucker, Tyler Rich, and Chuck Wicks, among others. One thing is for certain: We can't wait to hear all the heartfelt songs Jimmie Allen pens about his new bride!
Their family just got a little bit bigger
As if life couldn't get any sweeter for Jimmie Allen and Alexis Gale, on October 17, 2021, the happy couple welcomed their second child, another daughter named Zara James. The "This Is Us" hitmaker shared the news on Instagram, writing, "The new addition to our family is here and we couldn't be happier to finally meet her." Of his wife, Allen gushed, "Alexis you're a champion, I love you and so thankful for you."
He confirmed they were expecting another child during a June appearance on "The Sam Alex Show" (via Youtube). The country star had also revealed that the couple was holding off going on honeymoon just yet, even before finding out Gale was pregnant, so they could enjoy being newlyweds for a while.
Allen told E! that he considers his family his greatest achievement, but he also hopes to honor them through his work. "I kind of wanted to start leaving legacies, leaving their legacy through my music," the singer-songwriter stated. Likewise, Allen gushed of their then relatively new addition to the family, "My son Aadyn is loving being a big brother and [Alexis] is loving being a mom." Clearly, he relishes being a busy working dad, sharing on Instagram, "So glad I got to go home and see my babies, even if it was just for one day," in early October. Gale commented on the post, writing, "Those hours together mean so much to us, you have no idea. Love you hubby."
Being outnumbered at home is something Jimmie Allen relishes
Plenty of men would worry about being outnumbered at home with a wife and two daughters to contend with, but Jimmie Allen was completely thrilled at the prospect. As he told People, "I'm excited about having a girl because that's like nine more years of Disney princesses! I'm obsessed with Disney World. I've always wanted to go inside a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I am hype!"
The country star acknowledged that although being a father always appealed to him, he wasn't sure married life would suit him — that is, until he met Alexis Gale and everything changed. "Being Mr. and Mrs. publicly has been exciting," Gale enthused. "It's a second honeymoon stage for us."
Their parenting styles differ, however, with the dedicated nurse admitting, "He's an overly protective parent ... Still to this day, he tries to make me chop up Naomi's food. So tiny you can't even see the pieces, that's how little he wants them to be." However, her hubby reasoned it's better to prepare for the worst in these kinds of scenarios. As Gale noted, "He's definitely made me over-aware of everything, which I'm grateful for because I am a first-time parent. Most of the time we learn from our mistakes." Their dynamic clearly works, even if these two butt heads on just how much to obsess over their children. If worst comes to worst, there's always Disneyland.
