Hair experts describe this throwback style as blond highlights over light brown hair with face-framing layers and a side part (via All Things Hair). So popular was this style that it has recently experienced a revival that some refer to as the "Rachel 2.0." This new look has also been spotted on celebs, including Hailey Baldwin, Jennifer Lopez, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Sophia Richie.

Clearly, Carey is not alone in her love for this retro look.

Friends inspired us throughout the '90s

On the recent "Friends" reunion show on HBO, multiple celebrations shared their fandom (via Variety). Lady Gaga added her own rendition of "Smelly Cat" with Lisa Kudrow's Phoebe. Justin Bieber and Cara Delevingne modeled some showstopping outfits. Other celebrity appearances and tributes included Tom Selleck, Cindy Crawford, and multiple secondary cast members, proving the appeal of "Friends" as timeless, for both young and old.
