The Truth About Erin Krakow
You may recognize American actress and producer Erin Krakow from the Hallmark Channel series "When Calls the Heart." The Philadelphia-born beauty has starred in the lead role, Elizabeth Thatcher, in the romance series since its 2014 debut (via IMDb). Krakow has also starred in many Hallmark holiday movie favorites, including "Finding Father Christmas" and "A Cookie Cutter Christmas."
In 2018, the Hallmark Channel star tried her hand at producing with some episodes of "When the Heart Calls," and has since become a co-executive producer of the popular series. In 2019 she also produced and starred in the Hallmark Channel made for TV movies "Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen" and "A Summer Romance."
According to Patheos, the talented actress graduated from Juilliard, and prior to her "Army Wives" debut on Lifetime, she was actively working in the theater community. Patheos deems Erin as similar to her beloved character, Elizabeth Thatcher, calling them both "intelligent, thoughtful, and kind."
Erin Krakow is a record setter
"Finding Father Christmas," a 2016 Hallmark film starring Erin Krakow, shattered the network's record as the most-watched premiere of the channel's history (via Front Gate Media). In addition to this success, Erin's series, "When Calls the Heart," has an enormous fan base, called the Hearties. The Hearties have an impressive social media presence; their private Facebook group, "When Calls the Heart – The Official Home of the Hearties," has over 85 thousand members. The show has so many fans that they even have their own website where you can shop merchandise and connect with other Hearties.
In a telephone interview, Krakow told Patheos that she and her "When Calls the Heart" co-stars truly enjoy being able to communicate via social media with their fanbase that has developed around the show. She stated, "We're tweeting with them, we're talking to them directly during each episode. We're getting that feedback right away. We're getting to know these people."
And how does the popular TV actress view herself? In an interview with The PC Principle, Erin shared, "I've always been the kind of person who likes to lead with kindness and hope to leave the world a little better than it was when I entered it, I think that's important."
