Here's What Travis Henry From My 600-Lb Life Looks Like Now

TLC's long-running reality show "My 600-lb Life" showcases the frequently life-affirming stories of morbidly obese people making a major change in their lives, for good. With the help of surgeon Dr. Now, the various participants are put on strict diet and exercise plans and, after completing weeks of tough work on both, they will hopefully qualify for weight loss surgery. More often than not, the stars of "My 600-lb Life" are struggling with deeper psychological issues, often based on trauma.

The show highlights how complex of an issue weight management actually is. Sometimes, the stories don't have happy endings. Several stars have even died following their appearances on the hit show. Thankfully, in the case of Season 8's Texas native Travis Henry, he took Dr. Now's advice on board and totally killed it (via The Cinemaholic). Fans will remember leaving Travis healthier and happier than ever, but the more pressing question is whether he continued to work hard on himself in the time since or not?

The Texas native is living life to the fullest

As The Cinemaholic notes, Travis Henry began overindulging in food as a child, following the breakup of his parents' marriage, which led to less supervision overall. The young man understandably developed severe abandonment issues, which were compounded by a former fiancé dumping him just a month into their engagement. Travis consistently turned to food for happiness and support. His wife Yasmin became something of an enabler, alongside her own mother, who frequently cooked for him. The musician turned to Dr. Now for help and achieved massive weight loss thanks to his strict program, ending at 379 pounds after starting his journey at 617.

As TV Shows Ace confirms, once his time on "My 600-lb Life" wrapped up, Travis continued to work hard and keep up the healthy habits he'd learned on the show. He and Yasmin are still together and happy, too. Judging by a full-body Instagram shot from January 2021, the former reality star is keeping the weight off impressively well. The previous year, a "day in the life" style YouTube video gave fans an insight into how well-adjusted Travis is overall.

Starcasm also included a screenshot from the "My 600-lb Life" star's trainer of him enjoying a grueling workout. He's clearly enjoying his newfound mobility, which makes sense given how hard Travis worked for it.
