This Is Where You Can Watch The 2021 Billboard Music Awards

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards show airs Sunday, May 23, at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be hosted by musician Nick Jonas (via ET). Unlike last year, the show has moved back to its May roots after an October video awards ceremony in 2020. The show will air live on NBC to standard television and cable audiences. Streamers will be able to watch the show on-demand through the Peacock network as of May 24.

If you want to stream the NBC awards show live, you'll be able to do so on one of the many live cord-cutter services, including Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, AT&T TV, or YouTube TV (via Flixed). These services are not cable dependent. The streaming services can be accessed from many computers or mobile devices, as well as by using Smart TVs or streaming providers like Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV Sticks.

21 Pilots will perform at the 2021 Billboard Awards

Popular band 21 Pilots will perform their current single "Shy Away" Sunday at the awards ceremony (via Billboard). In addition, new wave band Duran Duran will perform live, as will The Weeknd and global sensation BTS, who will perform their new song "Butter" for the first time. Other highlights announced by Billboard include Trae Tha Truth receiving the second annual Billboard Change Maker Award. As shared on Instagram, Trae Tha Truth, who is quoted as saying, "It's not in me to stop," will be recognized at the ceremony for his philanthropic work and social justice advocacy.

Also being honored at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards is artist P!nk, who has been selected to receive the Icon Award (via Billboard). Speaking about her award, P!nk said, "As a little girl, I always dreamed about being a singer and sharing my love of music with the world. Years later, to receive the Billboard Music Awards Icon Award is hard to fathom! I feel so honored to join the ranks of music idols like Cher, Garth Brooks, Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder. It's a true 'pinch me' moment and I feel humbled and blessed."
