The Untold Truth Of Addison Rae And Bryce Hall's Relationship

Instead of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake or Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, this generation is all about TikTok couples. One of the video-sharing platform's rising stars is Addison Rae, who you may recognize from a few episodes of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (via ET Online). The TikToker is even set to star in the upcoming Netflix reboot of "She's All That," which comes to the streaming platform in August, according to Us Weekly. The romantic comedy, titled "He's All That," will flip the script on the 1999 movie with Addison Rae playing an influencer who attempts to turn a nerdy guy into the prom king.

So, that's what Addison Rae has going on as far as fictional romances, but what's her real-life dating history? Well, Addison Rae has been linked to fellow TikToker Bryce Hall for quite some time. It was announced that the two were officially dating back in December 2020 by People, but have since called it quits after there were cheating rumors and allegations against Hall (via Vulture). Braddison shippers were sad to see the two part ways, but these two have had a long and complicated relationship for years.

Addison Rae and Bryce Hall were once in competing TikTok houses

In a very "Romeo & Juliet" way, at one point, Addison Rae and Bryce Hall were in separate TikTok houses that didn't always see eye-to-eye. One of the most infamous TikTok houses is the Hype House. It was created by TikTokers Thomas Petrou and Lil Huddy in an effort to bring together some of the best content creators to do just that — create content (via The New York Times). When it was first formed in 2019, Addison Rae was a member of the Hype House.

She has since moved on to do her own thing, and it makes sense considering she's keeping up with the Kardashians and will be starring in a Netflix movie. It was even Bryce who broke the news of Addison's departure when he said, "Addison doesn't really associate with the Hype House" in an interview back in May 2020 (via Seventeen). However, when Addison Rae was in the Hype House, Bryce Hall was in a rival TikTok house, Sway House (via Business Insider). Bryce even co-wrote a diss track about the Hype House's founder Lil Huddy, "Still Softish," with fellow Sway House member Josh Richards. That diss track is what started all of the drama between the two houses (via J-14). The Sway House eventually disbanded in February 2021, but for some time, Addison and Bryce were in two households divided.

Addison and Bryce's first TikTok together was back in 2019

When Addison and Bryce made their relationship official in 2020, it wasn't the first time the two had been linked together. In fact, rumors of the two dating started back in October 2019 when Addison appeared in one of Bryce's TikToks. From there, the two continued to show up in each other's videos, fueling the dating rumors. While nothing was ever official, Seventeen reported that Bryce's New Year's Eve Instagram post "seemingly" confirmed the two were dating.

However, by January 29, 2020, Bryce addressed the rumors by tweeting "addison and i are NOT dating!!! she's doing her own thing and im doing mine" (via Twitter). Afterwards, Addison admitted to "Entertainment Tonight" that her and Bryce never dated, but were stuck in the talking stage and eventually they "decided [they're] better off as friends for now" (via YouTube).

Bryce didn't take the split well. In fact, two months after the two decided to part ways, the TikToker was arrested in Texas with fellow Sway House member Jaden Hossler on drug charges, according to Insider. The TikToker later admitted that when he was with Addison, he "was not problematic at all" (via Instagram).

Bryce helped to recreate Addison's first ever TikTok

In July 2020, Addison recruited Bryce to help her recreate her first ever TikTok video. Addison dueted the original video that was posted on July, 8, 2019 and featured her lip-syncing to Kelsea Ballerini's song "Love Me Like You Mean It" (via TikTok). The OG video now has over 3.6M likes, which is pretty impressive for a first TikTok post but proves that Addison had what it took to be TikTok famous from the beginning.

When Addison posted the recreation video with Bryce in July 2020, it sparked rumors that the two were back together (via Capital FM). In the video, Bryce can be seen kissing Addison on the cheek at the end. Nothing was confirmed and the rumors would continue for months, but it started to look pretty serious when Bryce sent Addison flowers for her 20th birthday in October (via Seventeen). In the note, Bryce said, "20 isn't really a cool year, but I hope you enjoy this as the alternative. Happy Birthday Bad Bleep." The "Bad Bleep" is a reference to Addison censoring herself when she did an interview with Genius explaining different popular TikTok songs and their lyrics. Considering they started dating around the same time the year before, it could just be that there's a certain season for love with these two.

Bryce and Addison dressed up like the Joker and Harley Quinn for Halloween

You don't have to make it Facebook official when you decide to wear a couple's costume on Halloween. When Addison and Bryce posted cute pictures of themselves dressed up like the Joker and Harley Quinn on October 31, 2020, it sort of defined the relationship for a lot of fans. They were even spotted kissing that night by some paparazzi (via Seventeen).

The two looked adorable doing a TikTok dance together after fellow TikToker Avani Gregg did their makeup. However, they weren't the only TikTok couple to get on the Gotham theme. One of Bryce's best friends and former Hype House member, Tayler Holder, also dressed up as the Joker with his then-girlfriend, Charly Jordan, as Harley Quinn (via Instagram). In Tayler's TikTok, he claimed that Addison and Bryce "copied" them, but who's to say. At the end of the day, these three — Addison, Bryce, and Tayler — have been friends for a long time. Bryce even posted a funny TikTok of the three back in November 2019, where he got jealous after seeing Addison and Tayler almost kiss.

Bryce inspired Addison's song "Obsessed"

Apparently, Addison thinks Bryce is "obsessed" with her. The TikToker released her debut single "Obsessed" in March, which proved she's a triple threat who can dance, act, and sing (via Vogue). The song's chorus has lyrics like "I'm obsessed with me as much as you" and "Say you'd die for me I'd die for me too," which can either be interpreted as a narcissistic anthem or a self-love pop song. Either way, the song is allegedly inspired by Bryce Hall. According to PopCrush, Addison came up with the song when she was dropping off her "boyfriend at the time" — aka Bryce. When he said, "I'm obsessed with you," Addison replied, "Me too." Addison followed it up by saying that she meant to say, "I'm obsessed with you too," but the mistake gave her the idea for the song.

As funny as that story is, it's also a sad one. At the time, there were rumors of Addison and Bryce's breakup, but it wasn't confirmed until that interview. According to J-14, Addison referred to an unnamed Bryce as her "ex boyfriend" and that's when you could hear the sound of every Braddison fan's heart break. Page Six reported that the two called it quits in March after there were cheating rumors going around that Bryce hooked up with another woman while in Vegas. While the two are notorious for being on-again/off-again, it seems this time might be officially the end for TikTok's power couple.
