Stunning Transformation Of Jennifer Lawrence
It didn't take long for Jennifer Lawrence to become a household name thanks to the "Hunger Games" franchise and her bubbly personality – both attributes helped launch her career, (per IMDb).
The Kentucky-born actress has already received numerous awards for her acting chops, including an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a British Academy Film Award.
Moviegoers everywhere have looked towards the blonde for her stunning red carpet appearances, honest antics, genuine love of her admirers, and her timely photobombs, which showed her as a breath of fresh air in a usually rather stuffy and pretentious environment like Hollywood; this is a rare gem to find. And let's be honest, who doesn't love her reaction when meeting other top celebrities? Lawrence's fangirl ways have won over everyone in the business, (via Marie Claire). More and more, she is being recognized for her ever-evolving look while always keeping it classy.
Jennifer has changed up her style multiple times
Jennifer Lawrence has always been brave with her fashion choices, and most have worked out swimmingly for her. J-Law has tried most hair colors which include blonde beachy waves to a light brown hue, and for the most part, she has always been a pioneer in the beauty department.
She hit the scene in 2008 with a fresh face southern style that accentuated her blonde locks and natural look. At the time, the 17-year-old embraced her laid-back look with InStyle sharing that she channeled her hippie vibe for one red carpet by wearing a lace headband. To many, she is unrecognizable with her bronzed tan and thin eyebrows.
However, in 2010, she really started to up her game, and she even chose bangs to go with her new style! She also started to sport her now-famous smokey eye. However, in 2012, she revealed that she had decided to have a nose job to fix a deviated septum that changed her look forever and turned her into the red carpet star we know today, (via Mya).
She chopped her hair off in the name of convenience
Towards the end of 2012, Jennifer Lawrence took a gamble and opted for some dark locks, which didn't necessarily go with her skin tone, but it sure did make her eyes pop, (per W Magazine).
Then in 2013, fans were given the shock of their lives as she posted on her Facebook that she had decided to chop her hair off and showed off her new pixie cut, (via Teen Vogue). However, she did come ready with an explanation saying that she was in between hair lengths, and her last haircut "grew to that awkward, gross length, and I kept putting it into a bun, so I just cut it off. It couldn't have gotten any uglier!"
Even with all her physical changes over the years, Lawrence is still a staunch supporter of women and their right to live and look the way they want, saying in an interview, "The media's expectations of women always having to look perfect is something that really bothers me. I mean, what are you going to do — be hungry every day to make people happy? That's just stupid," (per Teen Vogue).
Jennifer is ever evolving, on her own terms
Jennifer Lawrence's style has definitely matured over the years, and as she turned 30 in 2020, she is still ever-evolving, (via Vogue). She has returned to her roots (literally her blonde roots) and grown out her hair to mid length and, not surprisingly, is still as stunning as ever.
Even though she may be one of the most iconic women in "La La Land," she still makes it her mission to encourage women everywhere. She recently opened up about her struggles within the industry, revealing, "Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn't lose a certain amount of weight. They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn't still hurt me," (per Huffington Post). Luckily for us, Lawrence has a thick skin and is not about to let anyone dictate her style.
