Inside Queen Elizabeth's Relationship With Archie

Queen Elizabeth II has four children, eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, including Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son, as stated by Biography.

While Markle and Archie didn't attend Prince Philip's funeral, due to the Duchess of Sussex's pregnancy, the two did talk with the queen earlier that week, a source told People. Writer Omid Scobie spoke with the Daily Express on the topic of the "very special relationship" between the queen and her great-grandson, which was strengthened by them all living in Windsor. Even with the family's move to the U.S. and the COVID-19 pandemic, the pair's connection has still been strong. "Archie loves being on calls with the family and the Queen has been enjoying those throughout lockdown."

On a particular Zoom call, which took place to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's birthday, she commented that Archie had inherited his father's red hair, according to The Times.

Queen Elizabeth and Archie talk over Zoom

Prince Harry and James Corden discussed the relationship between Queen Elizabeth and Archie. The Duke of Sussex said that when the Duke of Edinburgh was alive, both of his grandparents would get on Zoom and have "seen Archie running around."

He shared another sweet story about his son, his grandmother, and a special gift. "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. So she sent us a waffle maker." Prince Harry said they all mix up their orders with "a bit of yogurt, a bit of jam on top ... a bit of berries, maybe some honey, maybe some syrup," and that when Archie wakes up, he is quick to ask for waffles (via YouTube).

Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their senior royal roles and moved to America, it is nice to see such a cute bond between their son Archie and the queen.
