Prince William Made This Hilarious Joke About Prince Harry At His Wedding To Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate Middleton – despite having a rocky start — have celebrated a whole decade of wedded bliss, otherwise known as their "tin" anniversary. As Page Six noted, the beloved royals tied the knot in an opulent ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011 with the whole world watching. They share three children – sons Prince George and Prince Louis, and daughter Princess Charlotte, who coincidentally turned six the same weekend as her parents' anniversary. William and Kate posed for sweet photos to commemorate the occasion, in matching blue ensembles, at Kensington Palace and released the snaps to the world.

The celebratory occasion, as of publication, may allow an opportunity for Prince Harry to reach out to his brother. After a years-long public feud and an especially frosty few weeks between them following the explosive interview that Harry conducted with Oprah Winfrey, the opportunity to mend the bridge couldn't have come at a better time. Although William and Harry saw each other at their grandfather's funeral, they reportedly didn't have much of an opportunity to chat. The wedding anniversary may provide room for the brothers to reminisce about William's playful speech on his wedding day that poked fun at his younger brother, which will hopefully lighten the mood between them.

Prince William poked fun at his brother's lack of musical talent

While delivering a speech at his wedding reception back in 2011, Prince William made a light-hearted quip at the expense of his younger brother, as noted by People. Harpist Claire Jones was hired to perform on the day, alongside several other classical entertainers. William shouted her out during his speech, with Jones reminiscing, "He made a lovely little remark about me." However, William also joked, "Thank goodness Claire turned up to play the harp because otherwise, we'd have to get my brother to play it instead." The Duke of Cambridge apparently thought it was "hilarious" and she heartily agreed with him.

Overall, Jones noted that William "was very accommodating and warm." She took care to wish the happy couple well on their big day, too, noting Kate Middleton complimented her outfit at one stage while Prince Harry thanked her for performing, describing Jones' set as "wonderful." She previously played as the official harpist for Prince Charles, from 2007 to 2011, who reportedly had a great time at the wedding too. Of William and Kate's tin anniversary, Jones remarked, "It's a big achievement. They've really established themselves and everybody adores them which is wonderful for the future of the monarchy."
