The Real Reason Katie Thurston's Bachelorette Season Ended Early
Fans of "The Bachelor" castoff Katie Thurston, who of course was announced as the next "Bachelorette," know she is a straight shooter. In fact, in a promo for her upcoming season, the reality TV star is described as being "unapologetically herself" (via Cosmopolitan). She also says about her time with Matt James, "I don't regret being myself. I know what I deserve."
It turns out Thurston's approach to being the lead of the ABC franchise has had a surprising result. Because according to Us Weekly, her season actually wrapped a week early due to the 30-year-old's no-nonsense attitude toward finding love.
As a source told the outlet about Thurston's journey on "The Bachelorette," "Katie was in control and made sure the men she wanted were there and the men she wasn't interested in, she sent packing."
The cast and crew was done as of April 24, after beginning shooting in March.
How will Katie Thurston's season end?
As Cosmopolitan notes, there are more questions than answers at this point as it relates to how Thurston's season played out. We don't know if she pulled a Clare Crawley, and zeroed in on one guy early on. We don't know if she got engaged or didn't like any of her suitors enough to take things to the next level.
We know Thurston wants to find love, with the hopeful "Bachelorette" saying in the promo, "I am who I am and I want to meet someone who knows who they are" (via Page Six). But could this be the most dramatic season of the show yet?
And what does Thurston's season ending earlier than expected mean for Michelle Young's upcoming season? Because as of now, we are set to see the first "Bachelorette" and her search for her soulmate start on June 7, per Variety. Meanwhile, Young's season is planned for a fall 2021 airtime.
