Below Deck Star Dani Soares' Pregnancy Is Causing A Stir. Here's Why
"Below Deck Sailing Yacht" is only a couple seasons deep, but already it's competing with forebearer "Below Deck" thanks to a surplus of drama. As usual, the so-called "boatmances" continue to take center stage. In particular, the ongoing dalliance between Dani Soares and Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux who, as Bravo's Daily Dish notes, took their relationship to the next level on a recent episode. However, Cerva-Lanaux's limited experience threatened to spoil things before they'd even really begun. While appearing on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Soares admitted she thought it was kind of strange that her fledgling paramour had discussed their romance with his mother.
However, she wasn't too concerned about him never having been in a long-term relationship before, since, as Soares admitted, "at this stage, that was not what I was looking for." The reality star explained, "It's just having a bit of fun." Soares also revealed she would like to see Cerza-Lanaux take more initiative onboard. Now, though, things are getting really serious for the "Below Deck" breakout in another way, as she prepares to become a mother.
Dani Soares shocked fans with her pregnancy announcement
Dani Soares made the shock announcement on Instagram that she's pregnant and, judging by the shot of her growing belly, the "Below Deck Sailing Yacht" star is already pretty far along. "It's just you and I little baby," she captioned a pic of her posing in a black crop top (via Instagram). Colleagues and fellow "Below Deck" stars alike immediately began showering Soares with compliments and well wishes. Izzy Wouters wrote, "Love you girl! So so soooo proud of you incredible lady," while fellow new mother Hannah Ferrier gushed, "Gorgeous!!! Play dates in Sydney it is." Soares did not reveal the father's identity, but her most recent romantic relationship — at least, to fans' knowledge — was with deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux.
He enthused to MEAWW, "Me and Dani aboard Parsifal found an escape you could say in one another." The "Below Deck" star also teased, "I think the viewers are going to see how things pan out between me and Dani really soon so I don't want to spill the beans yet, you guys just have to stay tuned." Soares recently shared on Instagram that she was feeling homesick, admitting "living abroad and making another country your home is really hard." Hopefully she's feeling slightly better now, after sharing her happy news with the world.
