Who Is Married At First Sight: Unmatchables Contestant Megan?
It's no secret we're counting the hours to the new Lifetime spinoff Married at First Sight: Unmatchables, which is sure to be as jaw-dropping as the original. Premiering April 21, 2021 at 10pm ET, the show will try to match 16 contestants who applied to previous Married at First Sight seasons (via People). As the new show's trailer asks, "They weren't ready to be married at first sight — but are they ready for love?"
Fans of the Lifetime show are anxious to know more ahead of the spinoff's premiere, especially when it comes to the contestants. Love has been a difficult journey for them in the past, so it's clear Married at First Sight experts Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson have their work cut out for them. Viewers are already curious about Megan, a gorgeous Unmatchables contestant who has some serious trust issues – and a few other unexpected setbacks as well.
As per Ebony, 27-year-old Megan is looking for Dr. Viviana and Pastor Calvin to help break down her walls, opening her up to romance. Her trust issues have limited her in the past, so it's no wonder she was up for going on Unmatchables to finally find love. There's just one small detail that might limit her restaurant dates: her major pickiness with food.
Megan's trust issues aren't just about love
According to Ebony, Megan only eats chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese, refusing to eat anything else. This of course limits her chance at romantic dates, since it seems like luxe dinners or picnic assortments are largely out of the question. In fact, as The Things explains, the contestant's dietary restrictions have made finding love even tougher. We're just hoping Meg can find someone who is okay with her pickiness, or finds the key to opening her up to other kinds of food.
As for who can provide that, Meg is looking for a man who can match her competitive streak. While that can mean she is ambitious and driven, a competitive personality can also mean constantly one-upping her partner. Featured in the show's promo shots with a basketball under her arm, it's clear the blonde contestant is into sports (and winning!) so we'll wait and see if she can find a partner who's just as determined, yet fun.
As Ebony points out, over 65,000 people originally signed up for Married at First Sight, and the new spinoff is offering these 16 contestants another chance. Diving even deeper into their personal issues to help prepare them for a relationship, Married at First Sight: Unmatchables is set to help everyone from a man who has ghosted 15 people (via People) to Megan's fears surrounding food. All we can say is, we can't wait to see what happens!
