Who Is Married At First Sight: Unmatchables Contestant Gabrielle?
Fans of Married at First Sight will soon be able to follow along as 16 applicants from past seasons get a new chance at love. Married at First Sight: Unmatchables will see Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Viviana Coles give relationship and lifestyle advice to seven women and nine men who couldn't be matched on the popular reality series, according to Lifetime.
One of the contestants is Gabrielle, who "has never been on a date that didn't take place over text," according to a A&E Networks. The show's experts will attempt to help her transition from virtual to real-life relationships, which might not be as easy as it sounds. The 27-year-old might have a great sense of humor online, but the show describes her as "brutally judgmental in person."
In the Season 1 trailer for the show, Gabrielle can be seen getting a glamorous makeover and smiling big while on an apparent dinner date.
The series premieres April 21
Married at First Sight: Unmatchables will consist of self-contained episodes with the goal of creating eight potential couples from these new 16 contestants, according to A&E Networks. Other contestants include conspiracy theorist Danielle, who believes the earth is flat, and Renise, who loves "wizards, magic, and sex bondage." The male contestants include self-absorbed Caleb, who believes his looks are all he needs to win a woman's heart, and know-it-all Niraj, whose standards are impossibly high. There's also Xavius, "a funeral director in training that prefers the company of dead people," according to the network.
Pastor Calvin Robertson has been helping mentor contestants since Married at First Sight's fourth season, and Dr. Viviana Coles has helped transform the reality show's cast since Season 9. After providing counseling sessions and personal makeovers, the two experts set up cast members on dates to test how well they've learned their lessons in love.
Married at First Sight: Unmatchables premieres Wednesday, April 21, on Lifetime.
