LaKeith Stanfield: Who Is He Dating?
The 93rd Annual Academy Awards take place on Sunday, April 25, and movie fans everywhere are excited to see their favorite actors and actresses dressed to the nines on the red carpet this year. The award show will take place in two locations in Los Angeles — the Dolby Theater and Los Angeles Union Station — and like the Grammy Awards last month, only presenters, nominees, and their guests will be allowed to attend in person (via CNET).
Fans should expect to see a mix of Academy Awards vets, like Carey Mulligan and Anthony Hopkins, take the red carpet, as well as a slew of first-time Oscar nominees, like Viola Davis, Leslie Odom Jr., Maria Bakalova, and, of course, LaKeith Stanfield, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Judas and the Black Messiah (via Oscars). And while Stanfield undoubtedly has a team of supporters cheering him on from the virtual sidelines, one of his biggest supporters is his longtime girlfriend, who will hopefully accompany him on the red carpet on Sunday.
LaKeith Standfield has reportedly been dating actress Xosha Roquemore since 2015
If Xosha Roquemore looks familiar to you, that's because she's been in a ton of wildly popular and successful productions over the past decade. She's best known for her role as Tamra Webb in The Mindy Project, and she's also had recurring roles in shows like I'm Dying Up Here, The First Wives Club, Cherish the Day, and Black Monday, and got her big break in Precious (via IMDb). "It was an affirmation that I would work in this business, and I love Lee Daniels." she told The Undefeated in a 2020 interview.
Xosha Roquemore and LaKeith Stanfield have been an item since 2015, but the pair keep their relationship relatively private. In fact, when asked about his relationship with Roquemore during an interview with Vulture (via Cheat Sheet), he curtly replied, "I don't talk about it." Roquemore gave a tiny glimpse into the couple's personal life after she took to Twitter to announce the birth of their first child in June of 2017, posting a photo of their new bundle of joy — however, she deleted the photo shortly after it went up (via Yahoo!).
Breakup rumors hit the couple in March of 2020 after Stanfield got flirty with singer Ari Lennox on Instagram (via Cheat Sheet). However, because they keep their life so private, it's unclear whether Stanfield's playful IG exchange with Lennox meant that he and Roquemore are no longer together.
