The Truth About Kyle Richards' Husband, Mauricio Umansky
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have been married for 25 years. The couple has three daughters together — Portia, Alexia, and Sophia — but the Richards-Umansky household actually has four children, including the actress' eldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie. Guraish Aldjufrie is the father of Richards' eldest child, as well as her ex-husband. Though the former couple divorced, they remain good friends. Umansky is also friendly with Aldjufrie, as seen in their 32-year-old daughter's Instagram post.
Umansky is part of the hit reality television show "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" with his wife, who has been on the series since its first season in 2010 (via US Magazine). Fans often see Umansky in their family home in California, tending to his wife of over two decades and the four kids. Sometimes, the show films in one of his offices, together with his family, discussing business and family life. Like most couples in show business, divorce rumors have plagued Richards and Umansky. But the pair's relationship remains strong. "There is that supposed jinx with marriages and Housewives, but we're going strong. Almost 25 years married," Richards told Bravo TV. In January, the lovers celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and they both took to Instagram to share lovely pictures (via TheThings). In one of the episodes of "RHOBH," viewers saw Umansky gifting his wife with a new Maserati.
Mauricio Umansky had a medical condition as a child
Mauricio Umansky is Mexican, son of Estella Sneider, a well-known psychologist and TV/radio host. Before becoming a real estate mogul and a family man, the 50-year-old suffered from a condition called neutropenia as a kid. According to WebMD, a person with the condition has abnormally low levels of neutrophils, a type of white blood cells. The medical condition resulted in the young Umansky going through treatment and being in and out of the hospital from a young age. At 6 years old, he moved to the United States with his family. He went to school and got into the University of Southern California but did not finish his degree. Instead, he chose to begin his career in business (via Celebrity Net Worth).
Umansky is known for his success in selling homes and other properties. However, a lot of fans have no idea how he started in business. Kyle Richards' husband first ventured into the world of business with a clothing line. Though it was successful, he sold the clothing line for a hefty amount. Mauricio Umansky then joined Hilton & Hyland, a firm owned by his brother-in-law, Rick Hilton. From the beginning of his real estate career, he's been a success at selling properties.
Mauricio Umansky is a successful real estate mogul
Mauricio Umansky is one of America's top real estate agent/moguls and one of the best brokers in Los Angeles. Umansky created his own company called The Agency — one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. today. The company has offices worldwide, and over 600 agents. Two of the Umansky-Richards daughters — Farrah Aldjufrie and Alexia Umansky — joined the team and are stationed at the Beverly Hills office (via Bravo). His father, Eduardo Umansky, and sister, Sharon Umansky Benton, are also part of The Agency, as per Bravo TV.
Umansky shared in an interview with LA Dreams that helping his employees is his "true motivation." He also noted that "money comes as a result of great things. The reward today is the people; we're a growing brand and company. I want to leave a legacy." Apart from helping his co-workers, he also takes joy in spending his free time with his family. Umansky has always been a great boss. He cares for his employees the same way he cares for his wife, daughters, parents, and sibling. "I am a father to everyone, at the office, and at home. I want my people to succeed, grow and have a lot of fun."
Mauricio Umansky is committed to his faith
Long-time fans of "RHOBH" will be well aware that Mauricio Umansky is a proud Jewish man, dedicated to his faith and eager to spread the good word to friends and family (the real estate mogul's bar mitzvah photo is truly something to behold, via Bravo). As the Daily Dish reports, Kyle Richards actually converted to Judaism in order to marry her man, and the happy couple has been practicing together ever since. In March, the Richards-Umanskys offered a sweet look into their Passover celebrations. The Agency founder and actress spent some much-needed quality time with their extended family.
Mauricio enthused, "So great spending time with family" on Instagram, alongside several sweet shots from their intimate day together. His father Eduardo, meanwhile, posed with granddaughters Alexia and Portia (via Instagram), and Mauricio's mother, Estella, gushed, "We had such a great time. Lots of love and laughter!" (via Instagram). Suffice to say the entire family is proud of their faith and committed to it completely, frequently sharing insights on social media with fans (via Instagram). Evidently, it brings them even closer.
Mauricio Umansky and PK are getting their own spinoff
Mauricio Umansky and BFF/fellow Househusband Paul "PK" Kemsley are teaming up for two brand new business ventures. According to the Daily Mail, the business buddies are expanding The Agency's remit overseas, to PK's former stomping ground, London. There will also reportedly be a tie-in reality show, following the "RHOBH" breakouts as they set up and run their new office. While real estate has always been Umansky's focus, PK manages Boy George. However, he also boasts real estate experience, particularly in the U.K., having previously owned The Ned and the Burberry building. Sources reported that the savvy businessman is looking to hire a diverse team for the London branch, focusing on female agents, which suggests he may be after the crown currently held by Netflix mega-hit "Selling Sunset."
Kemsley is reportedly very excited to get back into the game, while Umansky's decades of experience will undoubtedly help. Networks are fighting for the rights to the duo's tie-in reality series either way. It's worth noting that "RHOBH" wasn't the Agency founder's first foray into reality television. As the Daily Dish reports, Umansky has also appeared on "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles," "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills," and "Job or No Job" over the years.
