Maren Morris And Ryan Hurd's Passionate ACM Performance Had The Internet Buzzing

In case you thought that Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd's adorable relationship couldn't get any cuter, they went ahead and wrote a brand new banger of a love song together. For a little bit of background, the couple met in 2013 in Nashville at a recording studio, where they wrote "Last Turn Home" together — they met as simple songwriters, and not the country music stars they are today. But it wouldn't be until their next musical collaboration, "Love In a Bar," that sparks began to fly between the two (per Meaww). Hurd even told People that the song was autobiographical and based on his relationship with his now-wife. "I met Maren writing songs and I met her when I was starting to have success [...] we would write and then after we'd go over to a bar in midtown and have a couple beers. That's when we started making a real connection, beyond a creative partnership."

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd perform their first duet together at ACMs

While Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have written songs together in the past, the song they performed tonight, "Chasing After You," marks their first duet. Via Just Jared, Morris believes the song is all about "yearning," which is made very apparent in both the poetic lyrics as well as the passionate music video (via YouTube). She added, "It's also such a relatable topic, even if you are in a relationship or married, to be chasing someone down and not losing that want for somebody."
