Where Are Princess Beatrice's Ex-Boyfriends Today?
Born August 8, 1988, Princess Beatrice is a part of the royal family, being the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York. As of this writing, she is ninth in line for the throne, per the royal family's site. Upon the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second baby, she will be bumped to 10th place.
She may be royalty, but she has quite a fulfilling life outside of her famous fam, too. In 2011, she graduated from Goldsmiths College in London with a degree in history (via Telegraph). As for her professional life these days, she is known as Beatrice York, the VP of Partnerships and Strategy for Afiniti, a company specializing in AI for interpersonal communications.
In 2018, Beatrice started dating property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and got engaged one year later in Italy. In July 2020, they tied the knot with a private ceremony. This was also the day Princess Beatrice officially became stepmother to Mozzi's son, Christopher, from a previous marriage. Before her marriage to Mapelli Mozzi, though, she dated a couple other men.
Princess Beatrice's first boyfriend had quite the checkered past
Beatrice's first relationship was a blip in her otherwise perfect public image. In 2005, at 17 years old, she started a relationship with an American named Paolo Liuzzo. Now, normally this would be no big deal, but Liuzzo has had a very checkered past (via Metro).
It came to light in 2006 that Liuzzo had at some point been convicted on an assault and battery charge. This was all due to his involvement in a drunken brawl with a student, who ended up dying in Massachusetts (via Boston.com). After pleading guilty to the lesser charge, he ended up being put on probation and receiving just community service. However, the public naturally had a hard time letting it. Her parents tried to ease the fire by releasing a statement. "As any parent will know, the most important element in a relationship with your child is trust. We all have our own journeys and have to learn our way but Beatrice is a sensible girl, soon to be 18, with many friends including Paolo. We must trust her judgment" (via Independent).
Nevertheless, the relationship didn't last much longer. After their breakup, Liuzzo was also charged with cocaine possession after crashing his card and "[skipping] out on [a] casino bill," per Daily Mail. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has since become the owner of a production company.
Princess Beatrice and Dave Clark dated for a decade before calling it quits
After her breakup with bad boy Paolo Liuzzo, Beatrice started a relationship with Dave Clark in 2006 (via Metro). The princess and the Virgin Galactic businessman originally met at Pierce Brosnan's son's birthday party, and the pair hit it off immediately.
The couple dated for a decade, but ended up parting ways in July 2016. According to some reports, the pair allegedly split because Clark refused to put a ring on it, despite being together for years (via Metro). However, a friend of the couple told People that the split was a joint decision. "It is amicable and mutual. They both need space after a period of ten years to see what they both want."
Some two months later, Clark began dating New York advertising executive Lynn Anderson, and proposed just six months afterward, per the Daily Mail. In 2019, the two tied the knot in a beautiful, star-studded ceremony in Italy (via People). And the pair have been together ever since. And as for Beatrice, well, we know the princess got her happily ever after too.
