"My wife was the victim of the week, and I was the bad guy of the week, and I literally held her captive by gunpoint," Cranston told Conan O'Brien during an appearance on his show (via Primetimer). "It's also very sexy, I think, though. It's like she thought I was very dangerous. Ooooh!"

Cranston, who had a short-lived marriage to writer Mickey Middleton, before he met Dearden, was asked by Rolling Stone how his second marriage was different from his first. His answer: timing. "We met at the right age, when we were both mature," Cranston said. "I had a girlfriend at the time. She had a boyfriend. The sexual tension was interesting but nothing was gonna happen." It wasn't until a year later, when Dearden joined a comedy improv class that Cranston was in, that they considered dating.

The couple had the most unexpected marriage proposal

After dating for a while, Bryan Cranston proposed in the most hilarious, yet cute, way. In an interview with 60 Minutes (via CBS), Cranston said it was New Year's Day and he was so nervous that he couldn't even look at Dearden. So he asked her to take a bath with him, where they were both facing the same way in the tub. Cranston had put the engagement ring on his pinky toe. He then lifted his leg and said, "Here's your ring. But I can't reach it. Take the ring off my toe."

What was Dearden's reaction to his unusual proposal? She said she first thought, "What the hell is this?" and then admitted, "It was so romantic."

The couple were married in 1989 and in 1993 welcomed daughter, Taylor Dearden, who is also an actor. And it appears that their love remains as strong and playful as ever. Cranston gushed about his wife in a recent interview with People. "Robin is a compassionate, righteous person," Cranston said. "Her default mechanism is emotion and love. And she's not cynical. I am! I'm sarcastic and she's sweet. It's a young spirit she's always maintained."
