Philip's children paid an emotional tribute to their father
Prince Philip's ceremonial royal funeral is scheduled to take place at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday, April 17. Although the ceremony will be televised, the senior royal will not lie in state, where members of the public would have been allowed to view his coffin and pay their respects.
As Cosmopolitan reports, Prince Philip's children (Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Princess Anne, and Prince Andrew) paid tribute to their late father in an emotional video for the BBC. Speaking in the clip, Charles, the Prince of Wales, said his father's "energy was astonishing in supporting my mama, and doing it for such a long time." He continued, "I think he'll probably want to be remembered as an individual in his own right."
Elsewhere, Princess Anne also revealed she will remember the Duke of Edinburgh as "always being there and a person you could bounce off ideas," adding, "if you were having problems you could always go to him."
