Ella Travolta Shows Off A Brand-New Look
Ella Travolta's been having a busy year thus far, kicking things off by dancing alongside her famous father, John Travolta, in a sweet Super Bowl commercial that hearkened back to his iconic Grease moves. Then, according to Deadline, she was cast in an upcoming modern take on Alice in Wonderland, the burgeoning actress's biggest role thus far. Just last week, Travolta celebrated turning 21 with her Dad posting a loving tribute to her on Instagram to mark the day.
Travolta previously starred in The Poison Rose opposite her father and the legendary Morgan Freeman. The Grease star told People, "She is her own person. She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous. I don't know how she came to be, and I don't take any credit other than just adoring her." Now, the eldest Travolta kid is showing that 2021 really is her year with a chic new look that's, funnily enough, also kind of a throwback to her younger self.
Ella Travolta exudes old Hollywood glamour with her new look
Ella Travolta took to Instagram to share her new haircut with fans, posing in a floral shirt in her car. "I haven't had bangs since I was about 9... so here we go again I guess!" she quipped alongside the shot, which was juxtaposed against an adorable pic of a mini-Ella the last time she cut bangs into her hair. Travolta, who also appeared in Gotti alongside her Dad — he portrayed the titular character — ended her post with, "At least for a little while," hinting another hair change might be coming further down the line. For now, though, she's working her trendy new bangs accordingly.
Travolta's father previously described her as having the aura of "an older movie star" from "another era" and this new look certainly seems to echo that description (via People). Travolta lost her mother, Kelly Preston, to breast cancer last year after a lengthy battle with the disease. Preston and the Saturday Night Fever star had three children total; Ella, son Benjamin, and Jett, who sadly died at the age of 16 back in 2009. Travolta paid tribute to her mother on Instagram shortly after her death, writing, "I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful and loving as you."
