Vanessa Bryant Just Revealed These Sweet Details About Daughter Capri
Vanessa Bryant shared a heartwarming photo of her 1-year-old daughter Capri on Tuesday, April 6, commenting on the toddler's uncanny resemblance to her late father Kobe Bryant and sister Gianna, both of whom tragically died in a helicopter crash last year.
"It's the KOBE stare for me~Capri Kobe ... Daddy and Gigi's twin," Bryant wrote in an Instagram caption alongside the adorable snap, which captured the little girl staring off into the distance. Although, this isn't the first time Vanessa has drawn sweet comparisons between Capri, Kobe, and Gianna. In a similar Instagram post shared back in January, she wrote, "Daddy and Gigi's twin (Capri walks just like Kobe and Gigi too)."
As mentioned, basketball legend Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in California in January 2020 (via Metro). More than a year after the tragedy, Vanessa Bryant discussed how the strength of her daughters is what helps her push through moments of struggle.
Vanessa Bryant has found strength in her daughters
During a recent interview with People, Vanessa Bryant opened up about her family's unimaginable loss, revealing that her daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri are her top priority in life. "Helping my girls navigate through this heartache is important to me," she said, adding, "Making sure that they know that they are loved, supported and important is what motivates me."
Speaking in People's Women Changing the World issue, Vanessa also revealed how her "strong, resilient, respectful and kind" daughters have helped her navigate through her grief. "My eyes and pain can't be filtered in person," she said. "They know mommy has hard days but when I see their faces when they realize that I've been crying, it makes me straighten up and push through for them. I counter it with making them smile about something ... Always finding the light in darkness."
Vanessa Bryant also recently celebrated her eldest daughter Natalia's acceptance into the University of California. Alongside a joyful video of Natalia reacting to the good news, Vanessa wrote on Instagram, "You pushed through the most excruciating pain imaginable and you succeeded. I wish Daddy and Gigi were physically here to celebrate but I know they're here in spirit."
