What Goldie Hawn And Kurt Russell Are Really Like As Grandparents
Considering just how devoted Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are to their kids, it makes sense that they would also be incredible grandparents. The two actors have been together for decades and their blended family consists of four kids: Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson, Boston Russell, and Wyatt Russell (via Closer Weekly).
Hawn and Russell had Wyatt together, while Oliver and Kate are from Hawn's marriage to Bill Hudson, and Boston is from Russell's marriage to Season Hubley. The complicated family ties don't stop them from loving all their children equally, though, and Kate has been quite candid about how she views Russell. While she doesn't have a close relationship with her biological father, she views Russell as her "Pa."
Kate told Vanity Fair, "People aren't always as lucky as I got, with having Pa in my life. That's very rare. My mom got lucky, too, because the most important thing is that her children felt like they had a father."
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell adore their grandkids and love to spend time with them
Her brother, Oliver, recently opened up to Us Weekly about how great Hawn and Russell are with their many grandkids. "My parents are amazing grandparents," he told the outlet. "We're a very tight family. We all live very close to each other... They're amazing people, amazing grandparents, amazing parents."
Hawn once gushed about her family to Australian outlet Women's Weekly (via Hello!) saying, "I look at our kids and grandchildren and there's nothing in the world that could make me as proud as I am of all of them. Being a grandmother is amazing, I love it. It brings incredible joy. Family is so important."
Additionally, a source told Closer Weekly that Russell is a hands-on grandpa, saying, "He's always picking out gifts for his grandchildren and it's adorable to see how much he loves them." How sweet!
