You've Been Pronouncing Khloé Kardashian's Name Wrong The Whole Time
Keeping Up With the Kardashians may be coming to a close this year, but the drama certainly hasn't stopped. The latest revelation about the reality TV family comes from radio and talk show host Andy Cohen, who says the world has been pronouncing Khloé Kardashian's name wrong this entire time. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Cohen spoke about his docu-series For Real: The Story of Reality TV, which includes an appearance from the Kardashian fam. It was during an interview with them that he discovered the true pronunciation of Khloé's name. "It's Khlo-ay. Khlo-ay is the name," he explained (via YouTube). "There's a little accent over the name."
Don't just take his word for it on the pronunciation of Khloé Kardashian's name. Cohen got confirmation from Kris Jenner, who told him, "Yeah, that's actually really how it's pronounced." As strange as it sounds, it does make sense. According to Cliff Notes, when an accent is used on an e, it produces "the sound ay, as in 'day.'"
Khloé Kardashian and her family will feature in a docu-series
Considering that Khloé Kardashian has had some romantic relationships with some big names over the years — Tristan Thompson and Lamar Odom come to mind — we have to wonder if they pronounced her name correctly.
Obviously, the pronunciation of her name isn't the only focus of Cohen's time with the Kardashians. From the clip shown on The Tonight Show, the family dig deep into how the show initially started and what they think its legacy will be once it ends sometime this year (via Buzzfeed). "Just family over everything," Kim explains in the clip. "At the start of the show, our first meeting was that we just wanted to make sure that our heart came through and we didn't really leave every episode with drama."
It seems that the Kardashians will feature prominently in an episode covering "celebreality" (via Variety) on Cohen's series, which will also include throwbacks to The Osbournes and similar shows. For Real also features "shocking revelations from the industry executives, producers, and journalists," according to Yahoo! Entertainment, "along with untold stories and never-before-seen footage from all the ... [reality] series we've come to love over the years."
