The Palace has yet to issue a formal response to the Oprah interview; however, everyone from Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel to controversial Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan — who stormed off the set of his show after his co-host blasted him for continually criticizing Markle (via CNN) — have put in their two cents about the eye-opening special. Now, the networks that aired the groundbreaking interview are sharing their ratings and just how many people actually tuned into it.

According to network ratings, millions of people in the United States and the UK tuned into Oprah's interview with Harry and Meghan

If you thought that was impressive, then you may be surprised to learn that Americans were seemingly more invested than Brits when it came to watching Meghan and Harry on the small screen. The CBS special drew in a little more than 17 million viewers in the States on Sunday, March 7, making the tell-all the second biggest non-sports broadcast program of the year behind the season premiere of The Equalizer, which aired on Feb. 7 right after the Super Bowl (via The Hollywood Reporter).
