Why Fans Think Kim Kardashian's Latest Video Is About Her Divorce

We now know that after much speculation, it's really, truly over. Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband of nearly seven years, Kanye West. And while we get over our shock, it seems the reality star is healing her broken heart much like we would — listening to breakup music while driving. People reports the newly single mom of four posted a video that featured her behind the wheel, while playing the song "Driver's License."

The Olivia Rodrigo tune features lyrics like, "I got my driver's license last week / Just like we always talked about / 'Cause you were so excited for me / To finally drive up to your house / But today I drove through the suburbs / Crying 'cause you weren't around" (via AZ Lyrics).

The song choice seems to indicate that the end of their relationship is hard on Kardashian, despite her being the one to file for divorce.

What the song could mean about Kim Kardashian's feelings post divorce

Tellingly, Kardashian ends her video after the line, "I guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me." According to Distractify, her ex's song, "Perfect B***h" is about her, as are a few possible other tunes by the rapper.

Meanwhile, other lyrics in "Driver's License" are telling, perhaps intimating she still has feelings for West despite all the drama. Consider the end of the song, in which Rodrigo sings, "I know we weren't perfect but I've never felt this way for no one / And I just can't imagine how you could be so okay now that I'm gone / Guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me / 'Cause you said forever now I drive alone past your street / Yeah, you said forever now I drive alone past your street."

Since announcing their split, the SKIMS designer also shared a post lamenting about how much she misses her father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003 (via Mirror). She wrote in her post in part, "Happy Birthday Dad! I celebrate you every single day but today even more" and "Please come visit me in a dream soon."
