Kyle Chrisley Surprises Fans With Huge Relationship News
Fans of the Chrisley family are familiar with the estranged relationship between father Todd and his older children. While many believe Todd to be well-intentioned, it can be difficult to see past his overbearing, patriarchal form of parenting that ultimately led to a dissolving of the family ties. While daughter Lindsie is still estranged from her father, son Kyle over time has begun to rekindle his relationship with Todd. But their familial reunion isn't the only thing the Chrisley family is celebrating as of late.
On this past Valentine's Day, Kyle Chrisley decided to get down on one knee and propose to girlfriend Ashleigh Nelson. He posted a photo to Instagram of Nelson showing off her sparkly new engagement ring, with a caption that read, "I couldn't imagine my life without you and now I don't have to. I love you so much @ashleighcnelson I'm so happy you said yes."

The couple has kept their relationship relatively out of the public eye for privacy reasons, except for occasional photos — but in this case, they couldn't help but share the happy news. According to a source at The Sun, the future Mrs. Chrisley absolutely loved Kyle's proposal. "He asked her at their house. He surprised her with the ring. She thinks it's gorgeous," said the source. "Getting married is something they knew they would do the whole time they've been together. They've been living together for two years and he is amazing with her two children" (via The Sun).
It's no secret that Kyle Chrisley has suffered with substance abuse for many years now, but as of 2019, he became clean which was a big reason behind him reconciling with his family. In addition, his sobriety led to developing a stronger relationship with Nelson, which the source says led to their relationship becoming "great."
