Nats Getty, designer and spouse of YouTube star Gigi Gorgeous, revealed on Jan. 19, 2021 on Instagram that they are transgender and non-binary. The former model, who is also the great-grandchild of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, according to People, took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
The post garnished, which featured a photo of a shirtless Nats with a topless Gigi behind them, garnished over 54,000 likes, which included Paris Hilton. The multi-hyphenated businesswomen commented, "Love you Nat's," to which they responded, "LOVE YOU."
Fans of the artist also applauded their bravery and shown open support and love for their transition. "WERK BABY!!! So proud and I haven't even officially met you yet!," wrote one follower. Another added, "Congrats on your coming out story and feeling liberated in your truth!"
Transgender model Isis King also commented, "Congratssssssss boo" along with red heart emojis.

On Jan. 19, 2021, Nats Getty took to Instagram to share the touching update. "This is a very emotional and exciting day for me. I am so nervous as I type this, but I know the time is now," the post began. "I am transgender, non-binary. I have spent my entire life not in sync with the body I was born with and confined by an outwardly appearance tat did not match my mind or soul. It wasn't until recently that I was even comfortable admitting this to myself, but once I was able to look inwards and truly reflect on my authentic self."
Getty also touched on beginning the physical transition with top surgery. "This surgery is something I have wanted for years an I can't believe I will finally have the chest I have always dreamed of," they wrote. "I know it's a privilege that I'm even able to move forward with this when for many it's an impossible option due to their circumstance. While I feel so blessed to be able to start my transition surrounded by love and support, it's not lost on me the many people who are having to navigate this alone and in silence."
Getty ended the post with, "I know one thing is for certain I am Nats. To my trans brothers and sisters and non-binary family: I am here for you, I am here with you, and I love you."
