The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk And Lauren Burnham's Baby News Just Got Even More Exciting
We all felt deeply sad for The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk and Lauren Burnham when the couple revealed they had suffered a miscarriage in May (via People). Then, we were elated to learn they were expecting baby number two, news which they shared with their fans this past weekend! But now, the parents, who share 18-month-old daughter Alessi, have even more exciting news, which they revealed in a YouTube video Monday.
Taking viewers along for their first OB appointment, it's clear Burnham is nervous — as anyone would be post-loss — with a sweet Luyendyk comforting his emotional wife. But boy are these excited parents in for a surprise! "I think there might be two," their doctor says as she begins the ultrasound moments later. "Two?" Luyendyk says in disbelief. But, believe it!
Lauren Burnham and Arie Luyendyk can't believe they are having twins
"No way!" we hear the shocked reality star dad repeat over and over upon learning his wife is expecting twins. Meanwhile, Burnham is overcome with emotion. She then jokes to Luyendyk, "Is this your fault?" Burnham then adds, "I'm going to be huge!"
"I'm going to cry, I'm laughing, it's like, wow," the soon-to-be mom of three says back in the car after the shocking appointment, and again, Luyendyk reassures her and encourages her to be happy for now instead of worrying. "I just want a healthy pregnancy," Burnham tells her husband. And with all our hearts, we wish this for the couple!
Meanwhile, the Bachelor couple originally announced their happy news on social media. "It's hard to know what to say right now. I've been crying on and off for the past 3 months...right now is no different. So so grateful," Burnham shared as a caption to a moving Instagram video featuring the soon-to-be big sister.
Over on Luyendyk's Instagram, the former Bachelor shared a sweet photo of the family of three with a sign that announced the pregnancy. "And then 2020 completely redeemed itself!" he captioned the pic.
