According to NME, Sivan has been teasing a new track featuring Musgraves and Mark Ronson for a few weeks. Today, "Easy" dropped as an updated take on a song from his latest EP, In a Dream. The artist released snippets of the song's music video as a way to entice fans and give them a taste of what was to come.

Musgraves got on board to share about the new song's release as well, UPROXX explains, which had fans on the edges of their seats — anxiously awaiting the power trio's latest tune. Sivan and Musgraves appear to have a close working relationship that produces amazing hits and flashy music videos.

"Kacey heard the song when it first came out," Sivan revealed in an Instagram livestream. "She listened to it again a couple weeks later, I guess, and was in a very different place, and was texting me about it like, 'I just cried to your song.' And I was like 'Well, I've been wanting you to sing on it this entire time.'" Sivan was obviously thrilled, telling fans, "When you hear her say 'darlin,' instead of 'darling' or however I say it, it's the most pleasing thing in the entire world to listen to." The pair quickly contacted hitmaker Mark Ronson and the new track was ready to go.

So how did Musgraves get Sivan's number in the first place? They probably swapped digits after their first collaboration, a duet of Musgraves' Christmas song "Glittery" for her special, The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show.

Kacey Musgraves has a lot more going on outside of her music career

On top of high-profile collaborations and music videos, Kacey Musgraves also has a new project to be excited about. According to Fast Company, the music maven recently teamed up with Los Angeles-based candle company, Boy Smells. After getting a whiff of a garden-themed candle, the Grammy-award winner slowed down to ask a few questions about the unique scent. She DM'd the company to ask if they would consider working together, and the result was a candle based on her hit song, "Slow Burn." The outlet notes that the candle sold out in 12 hours upon its initial release, and, at one time, had a 15,000-name waiting list.

Her collaborative model for the new candle seems to reach beyond just her musical pursuits. "Gone are the days where people hide behind their teams and there's like a 10-person chain to deal with," she said. "It's nice to sometimes go straight to the source and say, 'Hey, I want to work with you.' It gets things done quicker. And it's more fun that way," she told the outlet.

"You gotta be careful as an artist, because you can slap your name on so many things that it starts to water down the reason that people know who you are in the first place," she continued. "My songs are everything to me and that's first and foremost. But if, along the way, I can branch out and become a well-rounded creative entity, then I'm down for that as long as it never feels forced."
