RHOBH's Kyle Richards Shares Sad Health Update About Her Family
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast has recently faced some significant setbacks. The reality show halted production due to concerns over safety in the wake of COVID-19 (via People). Us Weekly reports that first, a couple of crew members tested positive for the illness. Then, it was revealed that stars Kyle Richards, along with Dorit Kemsley, and Kathy Hilton had also tested positive (via ET Online). The source of the infection is believed to be a luncheon.
A source revealed, "Those closest to Kathy and Kyle have been so worried because everyone reacts so differently to this illness. Right now, they have fever and flu-like symptoms but of course, they need to be monitored because things can always take a turn for the worse."
But now Richards herself is updating fans on her condition — and unfortunately she also has some additional sad health news to share.
Kyle Richareds is not the only person in her family who got sick
In an Instagram post over the weekend, Richards shared a Christmas photo of her family, which includes her husband Mauricio Umansky, and daughters Farrah, Alexia, Sophia, and Portia. "I love these people so much," the 51-year-old captioned the image, going on to clarify, "Some of you may have heard I have COVID. I got it after these photos were taken."
Richards went on to update her followers, "Since I was diagnosed I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy. Unfortunately, Sophia also got it. We will stay in isolation until it's safe to see the family and others again. I can't wait to hug them."
Among the star comments was one from Kemsley who said, "So beautiful." At time of writing, she had not yet taken to social media to share an update on her condition, and neither had Hilton. Meanwhile, fellow Housewife Sutton Stracke commented on Richards' post, "Beautiful family. get well soon! And that lovely Sophia." We join in her sentiments and hope Kyle and Sophia are feeling better very soon!
