90 Day Fiance's Tim Has Made A Tough Decision About Melyza
It's been a roller-coaster for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars Tim and Melyza thus far, from enduring the general pain and frustration of their long distance relationship to having it rocked by infidelity on both sides. As TV Shows Ace notes, the couple first crossed paths while Melyza was briefly working in the U.S. as an au pair. They quickly fell for each other and Melyza made plans to move from her home in Colombia to Texas, where Tim is based. However, they split up after he confessed to being unfaithful to her.
Tim subsequently traveled to Colombia to fight for Melyza only for her to admit to cheating on him (though they were technically on a break at the time). Looking to prove his commitment once and for all, Tim quit his job and moved to Colombia to make things work. However, as TV Insider reports, on a recent episode Tim confessed to running out of money. He's unable to work in Colombia due to not being married yet, with no plans to do so. Melyza wasn't happy with the suggestion he might head home to the States, admitting she doesn't trust him.
The reality star felt like his hands were tied
Unfortunately, as the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way detailed, Tim felt he had no choice but to return home to earn some money. He made it very clear that it was purely for financial reasons, but that did nothing to assuage Melyza's fears. The couple sort of broke up, at least for the time being. As TV Insider notes, Tim promised to come back ASAP, telling Melyza that he loves her "mucho mucho" but his ticket has already been purchased because he feels like there's no other way.
Melyza didn't take it well, telling producers, "I can't believe that he's leaving. I think this is bulls***. I'm just really disappointed." Although Tim reassured her he'd be back soon, Melyza asked whether she should even bother waiting for him, explaining, "I'm not looking for other people. I just want some more time to make the decision to be in a long-distance relationship again." It's worth noting that their couples therapist recommended Tim stay in Colombia, so clearly this is a decision that will test the relationship to its very core.
