How To Watch The 2020 CMA Awards If You Don't Have Cable
In the world of can't miss television, the CMA Awards are up there. This year's celebration of country music will air on Wednesday, November 11 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC, according to the awards' official site. The incomparable Reba McEntire and the uber talented Darius Rucker are set to host, with performances by Gabby Barrett and Charlie Puth, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Chris Stapleton, Jimmie Allen, and, drum roll please, Justin Bieber and Dan + Shay. Presenters range from Jake Owen, to Bobby Bones.
Country's biggest night is ready to roll. Rejoice! Except, what if you don't have cable? It's okay. There are still plenty of ways to watch the CMA Awards, which will air live from Nashville (via Goodmorning America). Rucker said in an interview with ABC News that the CMAs are when country stars "all get together and have a party." Like we said, this is a can't miss night. If you're fiddling around trying to figure out how to watch the show, you may not see the opening performance by Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Jenee Fleenor, and Ashley McBryde.
Plan ahead so you know where to tune in for the CMA Awards
According to Yahoo!, if you don't have cable and can't see the show on ABC, you can still stream the socially-distanced awards live on the ABC app. You can also stream the 54th Annual CMAs on YouTube TV, Hulu, and FuboTV, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Or, you can sign up with a TV provider for access to stream the show.
Don't miss the pre-show, which of course given the pandemic, won't look like red carpets past, but may still provide fans with some juicy tidbits about their favorite country stars. Countdown to the CMA Awards, Live is being hosted by Lara Spencer and the dreamy Jake Owen on ABC News Live at 6 p.m. An On the Red Carpet special is set to air immediately following that broadcast. There are plenty of options to watch ABC News Live not already mentioned above, including The Roku Channel, Sling TV, Facebook, and Twitter.
