She thought she was going to die from the 643 pounds she was carrying around. It turns out 41-year-old Coliesa McMillian, who appeared on season 8 of the popular TLC docu-series My 600-lb Life, may have passed away due to complications from weight loss surgery, according to New York Daily News. TMZ is reporting the Louisiana native died Tuesday — she was placed on life support following a procedure to help her shed some initial weight. Although her family, including four daughters, hoped she would recover, sadly McMillian succumbed to complications.
"I know I'm going to die because I do feel like a ticking time bomb," McMillian said while taping her episode of My 600-lb Life. "My heart could give out at any time and I can feel the weight weighing me down. It feels like my body is trying to give up, I can feel it, but I can't give up. I have to be here for my kids," she added. According to TMZ, she would go on to suffer a heart attack pre-surgery. A video posted to TLC's Twitter account shows McMillian admitting this took place when she was only 39. "My heart gave out and it stopped," she recounted of the incident, adding she was too big for doctors to perform surgery, and the problem was never fixed.

An online obituary says she is survived not only by her daughters — Hannah and Sadie Gail Marie McMillian, and Kadelynn Lee and Victoria Noel Lee Courville — but also by many siblings. Meanwhile, TLC tweeted out condolences upon learning the news: "TLC is saddened to learn of the loss of Coliesa McMillian, who shared her story on My 600lb Life. Our deepest condolences to her family at this difficult time."
Sadly, McMillian, who said in the video promo for her episode, "I've allowed food to waste my life," is not the first star of My 600-lb Life who has passed away.
