Husbands You Didn't Know These Rappers Had

Female rappers like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are at the top of their game. But it's no secret that men have long been the predominant rulers of the rap world. Having said that, though, there are, of course, some women who spit rhymes and give even the most talented emcees a real run for their money. As rap and hip-hop were became more mainstream, women like Remy Ma, Roxanne Shante, and Eve threw down with the boys. These rap goddesses had the talent and the flow to dominate an industry that often wouldn't take them seriously unless they were part of an all-male rap group.

Female lyricists pushed the glass ceiling in the music world — there's no getting around that. They didn't throw all traditions to the wind, though. In fact, some of the most impressive female lyricists are more than happy to oblige in one of the oldest traditions in the world — marriage. Some female rappers have husbands you might not know much about.

In an interview with NPR, Chris said that their creative partnership was "kinda like the samurai flicks where you travel and you see someone jumping across some logs on the river, and you're like, 'Hey, that's kinda dope.
