Inside Kamala Harris' Surprising Real Housewives Connection
If Kamala Harris ever decides to leave politics, she just may have a future as a Real Housewife. She even has a tagline already, as pointed out by the official Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Instagram account, which shared a post of Harris saying "I'll give you my opinion, but my beliefs are never up for debate." As the caption of the post said, this makes Harris "the first VP candidate with a Real Housewives tagline."
Harris picked the tagline herself, sharing it on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in June (via the Daily Mail). She added that she's also a fan of the Real Housewives franchise, and that she watches The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.
Harris also has a connection with some Real Housewives. As noted by Bravo's The Daily Dish, Harris belongs to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, along with two Real Housewives of Potomac cast members, Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo.
Kamala Harris is connected to some Real Housewives
Harris' sorority sisters were quick to comment on Harris being named as Joe Biden's running mate. "I'm screaming!!" wrote RHOP cast member Gizelle Bryant on Instagram alongside a photo of Harris. "Congratulations to @kamalaharris my SOROR... excited to see history in the making. Thank you in advance for being a role model to my daughters." Osefo also congratulated her "soror" on Instagram. "Major congrats to MY SOROR @kamalaharris on being picked as the Vice Presidential nominee," she wrote.
The Real Housewives connections don't end there. Harris also attended the same university as another RHOP cast member, Candiace Dillard Bassett. "A Howard Daughter will take the helm," wrote Basset in the caption of an Instagram post shared from the Howard University Instagram account congratulating Harris. "What a time."
Who knows? Maybe we'll see Harris making an appearance on a Real Housewives show in the future. For now, though, it's safe to say that she's a little busy running for vice president.
