Adele Is Unrecognizable In Her Latest Instagram Post
So far, the year 2020 has kept us on our toes in more ways than one. And Adele has certainly kept our attention with her ever-changing look, as she posts one gorgeous picture after another on Instagram. The 32-year-old singer was back at it over the weekend, switching it up again by posting a photo of herself underneath her TV screen with a freeze-frame of Beyoncé's newly released visual album, Black Is King. She captioned the snap, "Thank you Queen for always making us all feel so loved through your art." The album is now live on Disney+ and is inspired by The Lion King (via Fox News).
Adele's new locks had us talking, too. Known for her signature updo and thick amber-colored hair, Adele showed off a new, lighter shade with long, curly blonde locks. Looking every bit the California girl, where the British songstress owns two homes (via Dirt), she brought on major beach vibes.
Adele has always been a member of the Beyhive
Adele's love for Beyoncé has long been public knowledge. (It's good to know that two of the ultimate divas still can be friends!) Even after winning her Grammy for album of the year in 2017, Adele sang the Formation singer's praises. During her acceptance speech, Adele gushed, "I can't possibly accept this award. The Lemonade album was just so monumental, and so well thought out, and so beautiful and soul-bearing, Beyoncé" (via Fox News).
Since then, Adele has undergone an intense transformation as she works on her next album, which will reportedly be released this September (via the NY Daily News).
In April 2019, Adele and her husband Simon Konecki split after seven years together. The two share a son and have been co-parenting ever since (via Cosmopolitan). Combined with the highly-anticipated drop of her upcoming album, Adele's new look doesn't come as too much of a surprise. One thing is for sure, with her new locks and one-of-a-kind talent, Adele is taking center stage soon.
This isn't Adele's first stunning transformation
This isn't the first time Adele caught fans and fellow celebrities alike by surprise with a dramatic transformation. Earlier this year, she posted a photo on Instagram sporting a much different look. Dressed in a short black dress, the 32-year-old singer inspired many to comment on how amazing she looked while she celebrated her birthday and thanked first responders.
When the already-gorgeous singer showed off her dramatic weight loss, she left her fans clamoring to know how she did it. Since her big reveal, Adele has stayed mostly mum about her transformation, but it's rumored that she shed the pounds by following the Sirtfood Diet, according to Prevention. Apparently her trainer, Peter Geracimo (who also trains Pippa Middleton), often suggests this dietary plan to his clients. It involves eating certain wonderfoods, including kale, cocoa, coffee, and strawberries, which provide a host of health benefits. These include reducing cell inflammation and giving your metabolism a big boost.
We don't know for sure if this is the secret to Adele's transformation — we just know she looks as amazing as ever!
Did Adele have plastic surgery?
Of course, whenever a celebrity shows off a new look, there are always questions surrounding just how they did it — and if they received any help from a surgeon's knife. The famously private Adele proved not to be immune to such gossip, as some reports soon circulated that her transformation wasn't totally au naturel. Page Six reached out to top celebrity plastic surgeons (major caveat: they have not treated Adele) to find out their thoughts. Dr. Ramtin Kassir said: "It absolutely could be her own jawline that was exposed [after the weight loss], but it's so clean-looking now and it's so tight that it just wouldn't shock me if she had a little bit of extra help."
Board-certified dermatologic surgeon Howard Sobel added his two cents, as well. "Given her weight loss, she would have also lost facial volume, leading her features to droop," Dr. Sobel said to Page Six. "Since she looks fresh-faced and wrinkle-free, I suspect that she has had fillers in multiple facial areas, including her nasolabial folds and Botox on the upper third of her face."
Whether Adele had a little help, did it all herself, or some combination of the two, does it really matter? We're just waiting to enjoy her next album — we have the Kleenex ready.
