Is Clare Crawley Really Being Replaced As The Bachelorette?
After a rocky start that involved being postponed due to coronavirus, Clare Crawley's Bachelorette season finally seemed like it was underway. Now, though, rumors are circulating that Clare has been replaced and we won't be seeing her as the Bachelorette when the show returns to the air.
The rumor that Clare was being replaced originally came from Reddit, from a person claiming to run a Bachelor spoiler account. "Among other things, she cancelled everything that was supposed to happen... and they called in a new Bachelorette," they said. "They are recasting her with [former Bachelor contestant] Tayshia [Adams]. Tayshia is already quarantining at the hotel... The plan is for her to call back some of guys that have already been eliminated.
Bachelor spoiler king Reality Steve shared the Reddit post on Twitter. "Been on the phone for the last 2 hrs digging," he wrote. "I cannot confirm with 100% certainty if it's true yet, but if you ask my opinion, I think there is some serious validity to it based on what I'm hearing now."
Why did Clare Crawley allegedly quit The Bachelorette?
Clare supposedly refused to continue filming after falling hard for contestant Dale Moss, telling producers she wanted to quit the show completely. "Producers are scrambling to figure out what to do," a source told Life & Style. "They are frantic trying to pick up the pieces without having to start over completely."
Reality Steve isn't yet certain whether Clare is being replaced, but he is confident that Tayshia is at the resort where The Bachelorette is being filmed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I haven't gotten the confirmation that I need," he said on an Instagram Live (via Cheat Sheet). "But I'm really certain Tayshia is out in La Quinta right now. There's no reason for Tayshia to be in La Quinta unless she's being asked to film something. Which means that she would be the Bachelorette. So if you ask me if Tayshia is going to be the Bachelorette from this point forward, my answer would be yes."
