Inside Snoop Dogg's Relationship With His Wife

Snoop Dogg has been married to wife Shante Broadus since 1997 (via E! News). Snoop, also known as Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., launched into the public eye in 1993 — a few short years before tying the knot. His nearly 30-year career has spanned genres from chart-topping rap and hip-hop to reality TV with Martha Stewart and multiple acting appearances. The ride throughout this "Gin and Juice" star's career hasn't all been smooth sailing, though. At times he's hit some speed bumps, including notable arrests — although even these stories are plagued with rumors (via Snopes).

Much like his career, Snoop's marriage hasn't been without its trials, but it seems that things tend to turn around for the better with this long-time couple. Says the Dogg himself on a recent Instagram post, "Thanks 4 the kids loyalty stability n the ability to deal wit me on my worst days u are appreciated [sic]." Soon after, he deleted his Instagram account entirely (via Meawww).

Snoop and Shante's marriage has weathered some storms

Shante and Snoop's marriage of 23 years far outlasts the average celebrity marriage of about 10 years. Together the couple has three children, Corde (born 1994), Cordell (born 1997), and Cori (born 1999) (via AmoMama). Speaking of bumps in the marriage, Snoop also has son Julian Corrie Broadus, born in 1998 to mother Laurie Hammond (via AmoMama).

The couple separated in 2004 but reunited and remarried in 2008 (via E! News). Most recently the couple were rocked by a 2019 cheating scandal featuring YouTube personality Celina Powell (via HipHopDx). It seems the long-time couple have moved down the road from this obstacle, too, as Shante posted a loving pic of her and Snoop on her Instagram as recently as March 2020. You can clearly see the love these two still have for each other in a February video of the couple dancing, tagged #Valentine. One happy fan describes it, "Love the Love that use guys have for each other!!" We don't know all the details of what goes on behind closed doors, but it's apparent that 23 years must be quite the ride, and we just love seeing happy endings.
