Are 90 Day Fiance's Chantel And Pedro Still Together?
Chantel Jimeno, née Everett, and her husband Pedro are one of the most hotly-contested pairings in 90 Day Fiancé history. The couple, who first appeared on the hit show before gracing its spin-off, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, and whose in-fighting, particularly between their fiery families, birthed its own spin-off show, The Family Chantel, have been nothing but drama since day one. But, unlike many of the other supposedly loved-up duos who have popped up on the hit TLC show over the years, they seemed to genuinely love each other.
Still, fans have been wondering whether everything is still good in the Jimeno household. Chantel and Pedro rarely, if ever, share photos of each other on their respective social media accounts, instead favouring clips from The Family Chantel, which are usually used to tease upcoming inciting incidents. Still, not every couple likes to over-share about their relationship on social media and there's no good reason to suggest anything has gone horribly wrong between them due to a lack of mushy posts... right?
90 Day Fiance's Chantel and Pedro overcame the odds
The couple have posted a few sneak peeks here and there on Instagram, however, and we may have to cling to those as they're all we've got. A post from late last year showcased Pedro's wedding ring as well as the fact he was still in Gainesville, where he and Chantel have lived ever since they got married. Likewise, Chantel also shared a photo in which her wedding ring is prominently displayed. Also, none other than the Long Island Medium herself posted a shot from a holiday party this past December with several other TLC and Discovery stars, in which she, Chantel, and Pedro are all beaming.
Just to drive the point home further, a recent ET interview with the couple highlights how committed they remain to each other. "Just spending quality time together has been great for us, in the midst of everything, it's done a lot for our relationship. We have deeper conversations with one another now," gushed Chantel of their quarantine quality time together.
Having kids isn't something Chantel and Pedro are focused on right now
They are, however, holding off on having children until all the issues between their respective families are resolved."For our family to be in a better place, we need to have conversations with one another, come to agreements, you know, mend fences in a way. ...And I'm just waiting for that day when we can have just some common ground," the 90 Day Fiancé star advised ET. Although their family dramas actually led to The Family Chantel, for the time being, the couple aren't filming anything until the nationwide lockdown is lifted. And regardless, they're not even sure if a Season 2 is in the cards.
"Family issues, are they ever ending? Like, they're never ending and I feel like that's an ongoing thing that you have to continuously work at. And I mean, hopefully certain things will all just come out in the wash because you have to get over certain things and let them go, so, family is definitely still an issue for us," Chantel said. As it stands, the 90 Day Fiance stars would be hesitant to leave their future kids alone with any family members.
Quarantine has been tough for 90 Day Fiance stars Chantel and Pedro
The couple's recent appearance on 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined was drama-filled for an entirely different reason. As In Touch magazine notes, Chantel was panicking that she'd contracted coronavirus. "I haven't been able to smell anything for a few days now and I'm really worried about it because I know that one of the signs of that is [loss of sense or smell] now," she revealed. The reality star admitted she was too nervous to go to the hospital, sharing that Pedro is doing all of the grocery shopping while they're in lockdown while she studies and keeps up with family and friends online.
Chantel is also getting pretty sick of being stuck indoors, hinting that she's still annoyed Pedro's mother has a bigger house than they do, while also making it clear it's only because prices are so low in the Dominican Republic. Her hubby seems to have adapted quite well, though, and has picked up a new hobby in quarantine, with Chantel revealing, "Pedro has a new camera and he loves taking pictures. I like to model for him, but he's not that good at it yet ... He needs a lot of practice." Still, they're enjoying each other's company even while stranded in such close quarters, which is the main thing.
