Here's How Much Cassadee Pope Is Really Worth
Cassadee Pope was the triumphant winner of The Voice's third season, but, for a whole generation of kids, she'll always be the streaky-haired singer of pop-punk band Hey Monday. Still, whichever way you slice it, Pope has carved out an impressive career for herself as a singer-songwriter. She's headlined massive tours and even scored a hit album right out of the gate.
Many artists will discuss how their sound or image has "evolved" over the years, but Pope can genuinely stake a claim for being a completely different star nowadays than when Hey Monday first came on the scene back in the 2000s or when she won The Voice in 2012. Clearly, the only way is up for Pope.
Cassadee Pope ditched her record label to find her sound
Off the back of her Voice win, Pope released her first solo studio album, Frame by Frame, in 2013. It debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard country music chart, a major feat for the singer-songwriter. However, although Pope acknowledges it was an exciting time for her, as she explained in an interview with The Washington Post, after signing with a hot Nashville record label, it soon became clear her artistic voice was being questioned.
Pope subsequently parted ways with her label over disagreements about where her new sound was headed, leading her to feel completely alone. "There was a lot of self-discovery that year, a lot of ups and downs," the musician recalled, but she "took advantage of the downs and just wrote through it." Pope independently released her next album, Stages – her first in five years — in February 2019.
Cassadee Pope's bank balance is sure to rise alongside her career
Although branching out on her own was scary, Pope is grateful that worrying about whether or not her music is radio-worthy no longer applies. "We're in this format where we're trained to think about what the mother in South Dakota [listening to the radio] will think of this song instead of thinking, 'What's my fan base? Who am I? And what do I want to say?'" Pope argued when speaking to The Washington Post. Once she broke that habit, a whole new world of song-writing opened up in front of her.
Aside from music, however, Pope earns money as a Proactiv+ ambassador while also making serious bank for appearances. Celebrity Speakers Bureau gives her going rate as $20,000 to $50,000 for a speaking appearance, while Celebrity Talent International puts her minimum fee at $25,000 to $39,999. All her earnings combine to make Pope worth an incredible $4 million to date, according to Celebrity Net Worth. That number is only going to get bigger as she continues to grow and evolve as an artist.
