Oprah Reveals The Real Reason Stedman Moved Into Their Guest House
The novel coronavirus outbreak is affecting the whole world right now, even celebrities. The pandemic has even had an impact on Oprah, who has not only launched a new show, Oprah Talks COVID-19, but has also kicked her long time partner, Stedman Graham, out of the house.
Thankfully, the couple aren't experiencing any relationship problems. Instead, Oprah kicked Stedman out of the house in order to practice social distancing.
Oprah updated everyone on what's happening on an Instagram live at The Oprah Magazine's Instagram account, @oprahmagazine. She explained that she had pneumonia late last year and also just got over a bronchial infection so she decided she wasn't taking any chances after Stedman returned from a business trip late last week. Just to be safe, she sent him to their guest house.
Oprah and Stedman Graham are still going strong
"The procedure is you ain't coming and sleeping in my bed," Oprah said (via The Oprah Magazine). "Literally... he goes, 'I'm not?' I go, 'Oh, no no, no, no. It doesn't work that way. Have you not been paying attention to the news? Social distancing doesn't mean you're going to sleep in the bed with the person when you just got off American Airlines... We cannot play those games. We're taking it very seriously."
The good news is that Stedman hasn't felt sick and hasn't tested positive for COVID-19, but Oprah wants to be safe. She hasn't abandoned her significant other, but is helping him out as he self-quarantines. She said that she's bringing food to him every day at their guest house and also speaks to him every day. The separation may be hard, but it looks like they're keeping their relationship strong in this difficult time.
"My friends say, 'Oh isn't Stedman upset?'" she said. "Oh no, he's not. He's happy to make me safe."
