How Jinger Vuolo Is Breaking With The Duggar Family Rules
It's no surprise that the Duggar family has a lot of rules — especially for the women. Duggar women typically marry young, are expected to have lots of kids, follow a modest dress code, and also don't work outside the home.
There's a reason that Jinger Duggar Vuolo has gotten a reputation as being the rebel of the Duggar family. She may have married young, but she also only has one kid (although fans are always on the lookout for any hint that she might be pregnant again). She's also known for some pretty rebellious fashion choices, including wearing pants. It appears that Vuolo is not raising her daughter, Felicity, to play by the rules either. It seems that she wants to give her daughter a less restrictive life than the one she had, and she and her husband have posted several pictures of Felicity on Instagram where she is wearing pants, including adorable mother-daughter outfits.
The Vuolos also seem to be encouraging Felicity's love for sports. While, according to Cheat Sheet, the Duggar girls were allowed to play sports recreationally as kids, it wasn't exactly encouraged. Vuolo, however, has suggested that if Felicity wants to play soccer, she'll have her parents' full support. The proud mom also posted a video on her Instagram Story showing her daughter's love for the sport.
Jinger Vuolo isn't the only rebel in the Duggar family
While Jinger Duggar Vuolo might be the most notorious rule breaker in the Duggar clan, she's not the only one. Her sister, Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth, recently posted a video on her Instagram Story (via Ok!) in which she said that she was having a good time working outside with her husband, Austin Forsyth.
While the Duggar women don't typically hold jobs outside the home, it seems that Forsyth is okay bending the rules when her husband, who works in construction, needs help with a big job. "He was finishing a job and needed extra hands to just pick up sticks and run errands and stuff so I got to come help him," the Counting On star said.
