The Ace Family Reveals Two Major Secrets
It turns out that Catherine Paiz and Austin McBroom of the popular YouTube channel The Ace Family have been keeping quite a few secrets. Or should we say Catherine McBroom and Austin McBroom have been keeping quite a few secrets?
That's right, the YouTubers recently revealed that they have been secretly married for years. To explain what's going on with the secretive couple, we're going to have to back up a little bit.
It all started when Catherine casually announced her pregnancy (secret number one) on Instagram on January 2. She posted a picture of herself in a bikini with her husband and two daughters crowded around her. "I wanted to keep you to myself for as long as I could and now after all these months of privately enjoying some time with our family, I am filled with so much joy to share you with the world," she wrote in the post. "You were the missing puzzle piece, I can't wait to meet you son."
The Ace Family always planned on having a boy
In their first ever YouTube video back in 2016, the McBrooms revealed that they really, really wanted a boy to complete their family. "Well a psychic told me that I was gonna have three when I was like 10 years old," said Catherine. "And she told me that I was gonna meet Austin. And I didn't know afterwards, like after I met Austin and after everything happened in our lives, I ended up realizing that the psychic was right about everything she said. And I completely forget till everything actually happened. And so yeah, she said I was gonna have three."
Austin added, "We're not stopping until I have a little mini me. A little boy."
The Ace Family wanted to keep their marriage private
Once the news that the McBrooms are expecting a son broke, fans went wild. One fan, however, got a little judgmental, commenting on Twitter that it wasn't good that the couple have three kids without being married. Catherine retweeted the comment, spilling secret number two, saying, "Although we have publicly shared some special moments throughout the years...our marriage was not one of them. We got married a couple years ago in private in our backyard."
She added, "We look forward to having our ceremony in the future where our parents, friends and family will attend."
In a follow-up tweet, Catherine said they kept the marriage a secret because "for a while it was just our moment to call ours."
This seems to be the same reason that Catherine kept her pregnancy a secret for so long. In an Instagram story (via Life & Style), she revealed that it was difficult to keep her baby bump concealed, especially when the couple was recording the music video for their song, "Giddy Up," which was released in November 2019. "It was so hard to hide my bump on this day," said Catherine. "I was sucking in on every shot."
