One Of Elon Musk's Kids Shares A Name With This Trump (& They're Around The Same Age)

Elon Musk and Donald Trump have a tense relationship that wasn't a bromance at first sight, but the two do have an interesting connection between their families. When it comes to what we know about Musk's children, first and foremost, we know he has a lot of them. According to People, he welcomed his 14th as of February 2025. But one of his kids has something special in common with one of Trump's grandchildren: they share the same name — Kai!

Musk had his son Kai with his ex wife Justine Wilson (Musk and Wilson were married from 2000 to 2008). Kai is one of three — he and brothers, Saxon and Damien, were born in 2006. The triplets are the third oldest of Musk's kids, as Musk welcomed twins Vivian and Griffin in 2004. (Vivian and her father have a very strained relationship.) The billionaire has chosen not to speak about Kai publicly. But Wilson revealed in a TedTalk from 2017 that the triplets were conceived via IVF. Not much is known about Kai Musk, but the public has gotten to know Kai Trump and watch her grow up.

What we know about Kai Trump

Kai Madison Trump is Donald Trump's eldest grandchild. Her parents are Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, and she is the oldest of their five children together. At 17 years old, Kai has had a stunning transformation through the years.

Playing golf is a huge aspect of Kai Trump's life. In August 2024, she announced that she would be attending the University of Miami to play collegiate golf. According to Newsweek, Kai will even play against Tiger Woods' son Charlie at the 2025 Junior Invitational event. Kai's love of golf has seemingly brought her closer to her famous grandfather. The two of them often play together even though she consistently overshadows the President on the golf course.

Their close bond inspired Kai to speak at the 2024 RNC on her grandfather's behalf, which her father said in his introduction was her first speech ever. "To me, he's just a normal grandpa," she said to the crowd, detailing her relationship with Donald. "He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren't looking. He always wants to know how we're doing in school."
